During Pain Awareness Month, we’re listening to the people who know chronic pain best: those living with it and the healthcare professionals who care for them.
Our latest proprietary research initiative surveyed more than 1,300 patients, clinicians, and physicians about the experience and future of chronic musculoskeletal pain care.
The research revealed something encouraging: there is strong agreement on what better pain care should look like. Patients and healthcare professionals support approaches that prioritize physical therapy, conservative and non-pharmacologic treatment, whole-person care and coordinated care pathways.
But one finding reveals how much work remains. While 94% of clinicians feel optimistic about the future of chronic pain management, only 42% of patients feel optimistic about managing their pain long-term.
Better care is about more than knowing what works. It is about making sure people can access the care, support and continuity they need.
This Pain Awareness Month, explore The Pain Perspective to learn what patients and healthcare professionals are telling us about the future of chronic pain care.
