Two UofL Health hospitals have received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry Performance Achievement Awards for 2026.

UofL Health – Heart Hospital received the Platinum Performance Achievement Award for a fourth consecutive year, and UofL Health – South Hospital received the Silver Performance Achievement Award in its first year being eligible for the award.

🌼Congrats to Mary & Elizabeth Hospital's DAISY Foundation Award winner, Liz Bishop, a member of the ED Flex Team! Liz was nominated by a fellow nurse who worked with her to care for a child with an arm injury.

The nurse said she's learned so much from Liz about how to make patients and their families feel at ease.

"When I grow up from being a baby RN, I want to be just like her. She truly is an angel in scrubs. I have seen her handle so many situations with pure poise, and she acts like it's no big deal," the nominator shared.

Thank you, Liz, not only for the compassionate care you provide your patients, but also for the commitment to helping the next generation of nurses learn to provide outstanding care. 🎉

The Louisville Metro Dept. of Public Health & Wellness recently found mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus in surveillance traps in seven additional neighborhoods—Buechel, Smithfield Acres, Crescent Hill, Irish Hills, Central Business District, Churchill Downs area, Camp Taylor/Poplar Level Road area.

While 80% of infected people never experience symptoms, serious complications may develop in about 1 in 150 people. So far this year, one confirmed human case of West Nile has been reported in Jefferson County.
