Is handwriting important for Kindergarten? Absolutely👏 and here’s why 👇✍️

🚨Did you know that neuroplasticity peaks between the ages of 4 and 7? Neural change and development continues to take place past the peak but it takes more time and effort to learn a new skill. Early intervention sets the stage for your child’s academic future.

📣Between the ages of 6 and 7 handwriting patterns move from the ‘thinking’ part of the brain to the ‘habit’ part of the brain.
Once a habit is locked in, it takes 10 times the number of repetitions to change it. Early intervention is KEY to building motor skills that will last a lifetime.

Do kids even need handwriting skills these days?? 🤨
Yes! 🙌 Handwriting skills are a superpower and something that your child will use every single day of their life. 📝

✍️When children write by hand, their brain processes the concepts on a deeper level improving organization of information, memory, and understanding.

In our Kickstart to Kindergarten camp, we are going to be building a strong foundation for handwriting and fine motor development. ✍️We are going to help our campers feel confident walking into Kindergarten this year ready to show off their handwriting superpower! 🦸
