Dry needling is often much more comfortable than it looks!

By targeting tight trigger points within the muscle, dry needling can help release tension, improve movement, and reduce pain—sometimes with relief starting almost immediately.

Still nervous about trying it? Give Tivis Dry Needling a call and let’s talk about what to expect.

Most people think dry needling is only for sore muscles or back pain—but that's just the beginning.

Dry needling may also help with headaches, TMJ dysfunction, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries, limited mobility, and more. Every treatment plan is tailored to your specific condition and goals.

The knee that hurts is often the calf that's locked up. The low back that's screaming is often a hip that quit doing its job. The headache that won't quit? Frequently a neck full of trigger points.

This is the mistake most "pain treatment" makes: it chases the spot that hurts and never asks what's pulling on it. So the pain keeps coming back, because the actual cause was never touched.

At Tivis, the first job is always the same — find the source, not just the symptom. West Texas bodies work hard: ranch work, oilfield shifts, long drives on the Loop, ten-hour desk days, game-day weekends. The pain shows up in obvious places. The cause usually doesn't.

Let's talk about the insurance thing, because it's a feature, not a bug.

When a clinic runs on insurance, the insurance company writes the treatment plan — how long you get, how many visits, what's "covered." You end up sharing your therapist with two other people and a rehab tech running the clock.

I built Tivis Dry Needling the opposite way on purpose. You get me, one-on-one, for your full session. No referral to chase. No authorization to wait on. We go straight at the root cause instead of whatever the billing code allows.

You wouldn't let your insurance company pick your workout. Why let it cap your recovery?

Straight answers, because you deserve them.

Most people notice a difference after the first session. Lasting change usually takes a few more, especially if the problem has been there for months or years.

No magic, no forever treatment plans. Just a real path back to moving right.

The honest answer to the question everyone's too polite to ask.

The needle's thinner than what you've had at every blood draw. The twitch is a quick cramp that releases. Afterward feels like leg day. A little sore, gone in a day or two.

And if you're a "I hate needles" person? Say so. We start slow. Most people are shocked how much smaller the whole thing is.

This is the #1 thing people ask me, so let's clear it up for good.

Acupuncture and dry needling both use a thin needle that's where the similarity ends. Acupuncture comes from traditional Chinese medicine and works with energy meridians. Dry needling is built on Western anatomy: I'm targeting the specific trigger point that's driving your pain and limiting how you move.

Different philosophy, different target, different goal.
