Sometimes healing looks less like β€œpushing harder” and more like slowing down enough to care for yourself gently.

Rest matters.
Hydration matters.
Sunlight matters.
Movement matters.
Breathing matters.

When the nervous system has been under chronic stress, trauma, burnout, or overwhelm, even small moments of regulation and care can make a difference.

You do not have to earn rest.
And caring for yourself is not selfish.

At Shiloh Counseling Services, we offer compassionate, trauma-informed counseling for children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, grief, and emotional overwhelm.

Your mental health matters.
Your nervous system matters too. 🀍

Only God could write this story. ❀️

There was a time when I wondered if anything good could come from the pain, trauma, heartbreak, and broken pieces. Yet here I am, sitting across from some of the bravest people I know, watching healing unfold one session at a time.

What an incredible honor it is to walk alongside survivors, to hold space for their stories, and to witness the goodness of God in the healing process.

I call it my job, but the truth is it's so much more than that. It's my calling.

Every day, I get a front row seat to redemption. I get to watch people find their voices, reclaim their worth, break free from shame, and discover that their story is not over.

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me... He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted and to proclaim liberty to the captives." Isaiah 61:1

Happy Friday. Leaving today with a full heart, deeply grateful for every client who trusts me with their story and for a God who still heals, restores, and redeems. πŸ”₯

Healing begins when you feel safe. ❀️

One of the greatest honors of my work is walking alongside women as they move from surviving to truly living.

If you've experienced trauma, abuse, childhood wounds, domestic violence, betrayal, human trafficking, or simply feel stuck carrying the weight of things you've never fully healed from, please know that there is hope.

Trauma impacts so much more than our memories. It affects our relationships, our confidence, our emotions, our nervous system, our faith, and even the way we see ourselves. So many women spend years believing they are broken when in reality they are carrying wounds that were never meant to be carried alone.

As a trauma therapist and EMDR-trained clinician, I am passionate about helping women process painful experiences, find healing, reclaim their voice, and rediscover the person God created them to be.

I currently have openings for new clients and EMDR clients.

You don't have to carry it alone anymore.

Healing is possible.
Freedom is possible.
And healing often begins in the safety of being seen, heard, and believed.

When people experience trauma or chronic stress, the nervous system often shifts into survival responses designed to protect them.

These responses are commonly known as:
β€’ fight
β€’ flight
β€’ freeze
β€’ fawn

Fight can look like irritability, anger, defensiveness, or feeling constantly on edge.

Flight can look like overworking, staying busy all the time, anxiety, restlessness, or feeling unable to slow down.

Freeze can look like shutting down, emotional numbness, exhaustion, dissociation, or feeling stuck.

Fawn can look like people pleasing, overexplaining yourself, struggling to say no, or constantly trying to keep everyone else comfortable.

These responses are not signs that you are broken.
They are signs that your mind and body learned how to survive.

Healing involves helping the nervous system learn that it no longer has to stay in constant protection mode.

Your nervous system is not trying to ruin your life.
It is trying to protect you. 🀍
