I’m about to begin making Miss Audrey’s Counseling Office a safe, welcoming, FUN space for the incredible kiddos I get to serve at FLYR! 🄹🩷🌈

A few people have asked how they can help, so I put together an Amazon wishlist with items for my office: therapeutic tools, activities, comfort items, and little things that help kiddos feel safe, seen, and supported. Absolutely no pressure to purchase anything; prayers, encouragement, and sharing the list mean just as much to me! šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Thank you for helping me love these kiddos well. Every little bit truly makes a difference! 🩷

There’s something special about the little things that make a Sunday feel like Sunday. šŸ¤

Not because we checked everything off a list or perfectly prepared for the week ahead—but because we slowed down enough to enjoy the ordinary.

Fresh sheets. Sunshine through the window. A favorite drink. Moving your body. A few quiet minutes with a book. Taking care of your space. 🌿

Sometimes caring for our mental health looks less like doing something big and more like creating small moments that help us feel grounded, present, and connected to our lives.

Whatever today looks like for you, I hope you find at least one little thing that makes you smile.

What’s one of your favorite Sunday joys? ā˜€ļø

šŸ’› Somewhere along the way, I realized that peace doesn’t always look like silence.

Sometimes it looks like joy.

It looks like laughter.

It looks like worship.

It looks like dancing in your kitchen because of the goodness of God.

ā€œYou have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.ā€ — Psalm 30:11–12

Whatever last week held, may you remember that God is still in the business of restoring, redeeming, and bringing joy where there was once sorrow.

Here’s to choosing joy today. šŸ¤šŸ’ƒ

As the day comes to a close, here’s your gentle reminder…

You don’t have to solve everything tonight.

The conversation can wait until tomorrow.

The laundry can wait.

The emails can wait.

The decision can wait.

Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is allow ourselves to rest without feeling like we have to earn it.

Whether today was beautiful, difficult, or somewhere in between, I hope you’re able to end it with a little more kindness toward yourself than you started it with.

Take a deep breath.

Unclench your jaw.

Relax your shoulders.

Drink some water.

Spend time with the people you love.

And if you’re a person of faith like I am, remember that God remains faithful while we sleep.

ā€œIn peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.ā€ — Psalm 4:8

Wishing you a peaceful evening and a restful night. šŸ¤

Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.

This day isn’t just another awareness day on my calendar. It’s personal.

Twenty years ago, I never imagined I’d be on this side of the story.

Today, by the grace of God, I’m free. I’m healing.
I’m a trauma therapist.

And every year, I’m reminded that there are still millions of people who are waiting for someone to notice, to believe them, to advocate for them, and to remind them that freedom is possible.

One of the biggest misconceptions about trafficking is that it always begins with a dramatic kidnapping by a stranger.

More often, it begins with vulnerability. With manipulation. With grooming. With deception.

With someone exploiting a need for love, safety, belonging, or survival. That’s why awareness matters.

Not because we want to live in fear.

But because awareness helps us recognize the vulnerable, challenge the myths, and protect those who may not yet have a voice.

If you’re reading this as a survivor, I want you to know something:

Your story did not end with what was done to you.
Healing is possible.
Freedom is possible.
Hope is possible.

Today, let’s choose to see people.

Let’s choose to learn.
Let’s choose to speak up.
Because every person bears immeasurable worth.

ā€œSpeak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.ā€ — Proverbs 31:8-9
