Has anyone ever ran across “Emotional Support Pals”? Plushie animals, each with its own personality and encouraging message.
Hard not to be a fan. 🐮

They brought a smile, but also an important reminder.

Comfort can sometimes come from the simplest things, a hug, a cup of coffee, a favorite blanket, or apparently, a plushie cow.

Everyone needs a little emotional support sometimes.

Grief doesn’t follow a schedule, and support doesn’t always look the way it’s expected. Life can be heavy, and there’s nothing wrong with finding solace where you can. Whatever brings a little peace, a little comfort or even a little smile is worth holding onto.

If you spot someone carrying an emotional support plushie, give them a smile. Chances are they’re doing what most of us are, getting through life one day at a time. ❤️

🇺🇸Honoring the American Flag 🇺🇸

In accordance with the U.S. Flag Code (4 U.S.C. § 8(k)), when a flag is no longer a fitting emblem for display, it should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning. This ceremony provides a respectful and proper method for retiring flags that have faithfully represented the nation, freedoms, and the sacrifices of those who have defended them.

Old, torn, faded, or worn-out flags can be deposited into the drop boxes located in Leakesville and Lucedale before the Flag Retirement Ceremony, held on June 13th.

God Bless America 🇺🇸

Proud to recognize Justin Fallin as the June First Responder-of-the-Month!

He has over a decade of selfless service to the West George County community including Broome, Salem, Benndale, and Central Volunteer Fire Departments, always answering the call when help is needed.

Despite working a full-time job on the Coast, Justin continues to give of his time, energy, and resources with no expectation of recognition or reward. Whether he's battling structure and grass fires, securing accident scenes, or coordinating Life Flight landings, he serves with professionalism and compassion.

Thank you Justin, for being a dedicated First Responder!
