🚨 New Update Alert 🚨
Hi lovely lotus warriors,
I’m making a quick money/fees update so it’s really clear how Hidden Lotus Counseling works, whether we already work together or you’re just quietly following along.
Going forward, Hidden Lotus is a self‑pay practice. I’ve removed my Headway link and I’m no longer taking insurance panels through Psychology Today or third‑party platforms.
I’m doing this so I can:
😶protect your privacy by keeping your story and diagnoses out of insurance databases,
⏰avoid rushed, assembly‑line care and take the time we actually need, and
📝keep my notes and systems old‑school (paper and rocks, not portals) in ways that feel safer for a lot of lotus warriors.
My standard fee for a 50–55 minute session is $125. At the same time, I don’t believe “self‑pay” should automatically mean “out of reach.” I hold space for:
⚖️conversation about what is realistically sustainable for you,
🦋some flexible/adjusted‑fee options when I have those spots available, and
🔍shorter, focused check‑ins when that’s clinically appropriate.
If you’re wondering whether working together is financially possible, please ask. We can talk transparently about money alongside everything else—no shame, no pressure.
I’m also still exploring very selective insurance options (for example, Medicaid/Medicare or veteran‑connected coverage) that align with my values and the communities I serve. If anything changes on that front, I’ll share another update here.
Looking ahead: starting in September I’ll be opening up a small number of additional spots. Right now that looks like:
Monday through Thursday daytime sessions at 10:00am, 11:00am, and 12:00pm, and evening openings at 6:00pm.
These may shift a bit as my childcare schedule settles, but this is the general rhythm I’m building toward. If you’re hoping for a particular time window, you’re welcome to reach out now so I can keep that in mind while I’m building the calendar.
If you have questions about fees, insurance, or whether we might be a good fit, feel free to message me here or through my Psychology Today profile. I’m happy to talk through options and next steps.
As always, Hidden Lotus is not a crisis service—if you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please use your local emergency resources or crisis lines first and foremost.
Thank you for being here and for trusting me with your stories.
Peace and well wishes,
Greer🪷
