Advocacy doesn’t stop at the bedside. 💙

Valley Children’s pediatric resident Dr. Tina Hansen-Sackey recently traveled to Washington, D.C., for the American Academy of Pediatrics Advocacy Conference, where she joined child health advocates from across the country to champion policies that improve the lives of children and families.

From expanding access to vaccines to strengthening support for vulnerable communities, her experience reinforced an important truth: some of the most impactful work for children happens beyond the clinic walls.

By sharing stories, engaging with policymakers and advocating for meaningful change, pediatricians can help shape a healthier future for generations to come.
