Red Ribbon Week 2026 is underway. Boone County QRT & Officers with Boone County Sheriff's Office have visited Ashford Elementary, Sherman Elementary, & Madison Elementary so far, & it will continue throughout the week! Thank you to all the schools for being so inviting to us & allowing us to spend a little time with these sweet babies!

Program Coordinator, Casie Browning gave a presentation & Naloxone training today to students at Boone Career & Technical Center. This was a great group of kids! Thank you all!

Boone County Health Department Administrator, Angie Linville & Linda Cabell RN represented Boone County QRT at BMH Community Wellness Day on Friday. They were able to provide training & hand out 70 Naloxone Kits, along with CPR face shields, Deterra & reading material.

There has been a recent spike seen in overdose in Kanawha County. We are not far from Kanawha Co. so please be cautious. If you or someone you know would like to carry naloxone, please reach out to us & we can help you with that, we can also provide naloxone training if needed.

With the cooler temperatures creeping up on us much quicker than we would like, we’re trying to be prepared to have warming items to give out to people that our team comes in contact with who may be in need! If you have something you would like to contribute, we will be accepting gently used or new coats & blankets beginning tomorrow, Oct. 7, 2026! Please bring them to Boone County QRT office located at 213 Kenmore Drive Danville, WV.

This Thursday, October 1, 2026 - Boone County will participate in Save A Life Day. This is a list of locations around the county where you can pick up FREE Naloxone (Narcan) & get trained on how to use it if needed! Times/locations are subject to change. If we are able, mobile Narcan distribution will be available in some areas.
