WVU Students Gain Real-World Experience at Boone Memorial Health
- Partnering with WVU to turn Data into Opportunity -
Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is proud to serve as a participating site for Data Driven WV, an innovative program through West Virginia University's John Chambers College of Business and Economics.
Data Driven WV connects organizations with WVU students and faculty to provide real-world experience while developing data-driven insights, technology solutions, and innovative strategies to address organizational challenges.
As part of this partnership, WVU students collaborate with BMH throughout the semester on projects that support our organization's goals and strategic initiatives. Students also participate in one onsite visit to BMH each semester, providing valuable firsthand exposure to our operations and the opportunity to connect their academic work with real-world healthcare challenges.
Leigha Fleming, BMH Director of Business Intelligence & Strategy (pictured far right), oversees the student projects, helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications in healthcare.
This collaboration provides students with meaningful professional experience while offering BMH fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and opportunities to explore data-driven solutions.
