The Enrichment Center

The Enrichment Center The Enrichment Center provides school-based, professional counseling services to students who need it most.
(1)

We partner with local schools to provide professional counseling to students who are going through hard times and need a friend, resources, or an advocate to help them grow into the people they want to become. The mental health of our kids is one of the most important issues of today. As one teacher put it, "If we don't take care of our kids mental health needs first, you can forget about teaching

them in the classroom." The struggles that kids and adolescents today are facing are more challenging and complex than ever before. The Enrichment Center program strives to provide a helping hand to these individuals when they need it most. Our mission is to passionately walk with students through seasons of struggle and to equip students with the tools, support, and confidence to create a brighter future.

School may be wrapping up, but we were thankful for one more morning together before summer break! ☀️

Today our therapists stopped by for our end of year check out and spent time catching up. Each therapist picked up a flower pot and seed packet as a small reminder that the seeds they plant every day truly matter. 🪴💛

A group of them also met for brunch following check out at the office to kick off the break together!

We are so thankful for each of our therapists and the care, consistency, and support they have poured into students all year long. We hope each of them has a restful summer break! ⛱️☀️🌻

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and our mental health coaches, serving Madison City Schools, continue finding creative ways to connect with students and staff! 👏💚

This year’s “Tossing Negative Thoughts” activity encouraged participants to write down a negative/stressful thought and shoot it through a basketball hoop into the bin! 🏀🗑️

We’re grateful for our MH coaches and the many ways they support students throughout the year through school-wide campaigns, presentations, and collaborations with Peer Helpers, Triple I Leaders, and other student groups. This post also highlights some of the many events and activities they’ve led throughout the school year! 🗓️

Please note: Any students pictured participated in school-wide events or are members of the identified student groups/clubs.

We love creating space throughout the school year with our pop up events to connect as a team! Today we took advantage of the spring weather and spent the morning walking together at Hays Nature Preserve. 🌿🌷☀️

We had a great time enjoying the beautiful weather and catching up with one another (and Teddy too 🐶)!

Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

We believe that every child deserves access to mental health support.

At The Enrichment Center, we are committed to removing barriers so students can get the care they need, where they are—in their school, at no cost to them or their families.

This morning, a group of our TEC team had the opportunity to spend time with crisis negotiation teams from Huntsville Police Department and Madison Police Department, providing training on youth mental health.

We focused on helping officers better understand how young people think, react, and respond under stress - so they can interpret behavior more accurately and respond in ways that support de-escalation and connection.

We are thankful for all that these officers do to take care of the youth in our community. We are especially thankful for this partnership and look forward to continuing this work together in the future! 🚔🩵

Many children who need mental health support never receive it, often because of barriers like cost, transportation, and access.

At The Enrichment Center, we work to eliminate these barriers by providing school-based therapy at no cost to families, directly within the school setting. When support is accessible and consistent, students are more likely to stay engaged and complete treatment. 🩵

✨ Best in Business Awards 2026 ✨

We are honored to have been nominated for two awards at the Madison Chamber of Commerce's annual Best in Business Awards! It was a great opportunity to celebrate the Madison community and the many businesses and organizations that help it thrive.

Our Executive Director, Allison Spratley, and Clinical Director, Katie Holder, were joined by two of our board members, Tina Tucker and Amanda Jarrett, representing The Enrichment Center and the work we care so deeply about.

We are grateful to continue serving the students, families, and schools in Madison!

Before raising expectations, ask: Do they have the skills to meet them? 💭

Skills like emotional regulation and executive functioning take time to develop. Children and teens are still growing into these abilities as their brains develop. 🧠

We will be sharing practical ways to support emotional regulation and executive functioning soon!
