If you have PMOS or PCOS, inositol is one supplement I’m asked about daily—and the research is worth knowing.

Inositol (especially the myo-inositol + D-chiro-inositol combination used in products like Ovasitol®) has been studied for potential benefits related to PCOS, including:

-Supporting insulin sensitivity

-Helping promote more regular ovulation/menstrual cycles in some people

-Potential improvements in metabolic markers and androgen-related symptoms like acne

Oura X PMOS/PCOS Study. Free Oura Ring with study participation.

The STIGMA (Study of Typically Ignored Groups of Menstruating Adults) is a 12-month clinical research study in collaboration with Oura. The study is focused on understanding how the menstrual cycle shows up in biometric data when cycles are disrupted by PMOS to develop better diagnostic tools.

What participation looks like:
• Receive Oura Ring with a 1-year paid subscription (Compensation for the study)
• Wear the ring daily.
• Complete a brief weekly survey
• Optional saliva sample for genotyping at month 3
Summary: 12 months total | ~30 min Zoom/In-person consent session | 10–20 min/week for surveys | Living in a state where abortion care is legal

This is a voluntary research study. No cost to you. Participation does not guarantee personal medical benefit.

If you are interested in joining, Email [email protected] and indicate that you would like to join the PMOS cohort.

What does a new name mean for PCOS and my concerns for the future of PCOS/PMOS
