My Heart Is Full, and Words Just Don’t Seem Like Enough! ❤️
I have been thinking about what happened at church this morning, and I am still trying to find the words to express what it meant to me.
Before I had the opportunity to preach, my church family surprised me with a Pastor Appreciation ceremony. As each person shared their kind words, expressed their love, and told me how blessed they felt to have me as their pastor, I found myself deeply humbled and moved.
I wish I could adequately express what those words meant to my heart.
This morning God used each of you to encourage the heart of your pastor in a way you may never fully understand.
You told me how blessed you are to have me as your pastor, but I want you to hear something straight from my heart: I am the one who is blessed.
You are more than people who attend the church where I preach. You are my church family. You are people I love, people I pray for, and people whose lives matter deeply to me. Every one of you holds a special place in my heart.
I know I am not a perfect pastor. I don’t always have the right words, and I certainly don’t have all the answers. But one thing I hope you never question is how much I love you and how seriously I take the privilege of being your pastor.
There are moments in ministry that a pastor carries with him for the rest of his life. This morning was one of those moments for me.
To every person who spoke, every person who offered a kind word, and everyone who helped make this morning so special, thank you. Not just for what you said, but for the love behind those words. You touched my heart more deeply than you know. As I told you this morning, you made a grown man cry.
I wouldn’t trade what God is doing among us for anything. I am thankful for where He has brought us, grateful for the people He has brought together, and excited about what He still has in store.
Thank you for loving me, for believing in me, for praying for me, and for allowing me to walk alongside you as your pastor.
You may have been trying to bless your pastor this morning, but I hope you know that you are one of God’s greatest blessings to me.
I love you, Pivotal Point Church at Harp. More than you know. ❤️
With all my heart,
Pastor Dale
