What do you enjoy most about being a CNA? What I enjoy most about being a CNA is meeting new people and making a difference in people's lives no matter how big or small. My residents and their families are my favorite parts about my job.
Favorite hobby or pastime: Going to the lake and wakeboarding/surfing or tubing, hanging out with friends, playing sports, watching sunsets/sunrises, and being outside.

Yesterday Accord Hospice had their 4th annual remembrance barbecue. This was a great opportunity for families and staff to reconnect and remember those that we have lost. Thank you to everybody that attended and for everybody who helped make this event successful.

As we conclude our introductions of our nursing staff, we are proud to introduce our Vice President of Clinical Services. This role provides leadership, clinical oversight, compliance support, and staff training to ensure our nursing teams have the resources and tools needed to deliver the highest quality standards of hospice care, in all Accord agencies.

Role: Vice President of Clinical Services

Years in Nursing: 23 years

Years with Accord: 4 1/2 yrs of the most rewarding and meaningful time of my career!

What do you love most about nursing? Providing whole person centered care. Meeting patients and families where they are, and ensuring their end of life journey is centered on comfort and patient goals.

Favorite part of your job: As a Nurse Leader it is an honor to empower and support Directors of nursing and nurses in the hospice case manager role, through education, training and support.

Fun fact or hobbies:
Currently pursuing my FNP degree, no time for hobbies. Book worm, love to read/listen, and anytime spent with family.

As we come to the final day of National Nurses Week, Accord Hospice is honored to introduce our Executive Director. In this role, Cindy oversees all aspects of patient care, including our nursing staff and Director of Nursing, along with many other important responsibilities. Her clinical knowledge and leadership expertise provide guidance, support, and empowerment to our nursing staff and clinical leadership, helping ensure the highest quality of compassionate patient care throughout our community.

Years in Nursing: 35 years; 6 years as a CNA prior to that

Years with Accord: Almost 1 year!
What do you love most about nursing? Making a difference in the lives of others. As a nurse educator I enjoyed seeing students confidence build as they learned new skills.

Favorite part of your job: It’s truly an honor to lead such an amazing team. A team who embraces holistic nursing and is honored by caring for those during their end-of-life journey.

Fun fact or hobbies: I love to travel and be outdoors. I might be a little obsessed over my dogs!
