Sammie Leo Montgomery, age 80, passed away on June 16, 2026 at St. Elizabeths Place in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on August 27, 1945 in Cardwell, Missouri to Harvey and Carolita (Kirby) Montgomery.

Survivors include; wife: Mary Montgomery of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three sons: Sammie Montgomery of Cash, Arkansas, Brian Montgomery (Pam) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, David Montgomery (Tina) of Bono, Arkansas; one daughter: Carrie Becker (Tony) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren: Kaleb Montgomery (Jessica), Fallon Schisler (Cory), Haley Rose, Joshua Montgomery (Stephanie), Devin Montgomery (Rachel), Amber Montgomery, Jordan Montgomery, Landon Montgomery, Tyler Montgomery, Luton Carter (Justin), Kimberly Smithee (Bryce); thirty great grandchildren; three brothers: Bill Montgomery (Julia) of Bono, Arkansas, Kenneth Montgomery of Alicia, Arkansas, James Montgomery (Jackie) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister: Shelia Brogdon of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends.

Marvin Archie Hall, 72, of Walnut Ridge, died June 14, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, surrounded by his family. He was born September 27, 1953, in Waterloo, Iowa, to the late Lowell and Virginia Hall.

Archie saw many places during his years of driving over the road. He was a passionate sports fan, especially of the Arkansas Razorbacks, and he loved watching Westerns. Music brought him great joy. He especially enjoyed concerts, radio trivia, and playing guitar with family at gatherings. And as “Rose Colored Glasses” was one of the songs he often sang, we now look back on Archie with our own.

Archie is survived by his son, Greg (Brandi) Hall, and daughter, Stacy Hall, all of Walnut Ridge; stepchildren Larry (Connie) Ragsdale of Black Rock, Donald Ragsdale of Imboden, Ricky Williams of Jonesboro, Tina Williams and Les (Candace) Williams, both of Paragould; siblings Paul (Hester) Hall of Jonesboro, Teresa Redd of Black Rock, and Darlene (Aaron) Dillehay of Jonesboro; step-grandchildren Justin (Callie) Ragsdale, Cody (Devin) Slater, Cortney Ragsdale, Dylan (Samantha) Nelson, Caitlin (Zach) Hart, Nick (Hailey) Williams, Jon Williams, Emily (Zach) Smith, Wyatt Williams, Kristina Lambert; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doylene; his stillborn daughter, JoAnn Hall; and his brother, Robert Hall.

Honoring Archie’s wishes for cremation, family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church fellowship hall in Black Rock.

William Thomas Spears, 81, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on June 12, 2026 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on September 1, 1944 in Earle, Arkansas, to Frank and Stella Mae Spears. He worked at Ready Mix Concrete/Razorback Concrete for 50 years. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include; one stepson: Bryan Gillette; two sisters: Louise Johns (Anthony) and Brenda Welch (Louis); and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by; his parents: Frank and Stella Mae Spears; his wife: Carolyn Spears; one brother: Floyd Roberts; four sisters: Dorothy Gischer, Esther Sairls, Lavada Norris, and Shirley Booker; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on June 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

Lora May Golden, age 56, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on June 13, 2026 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 31, 1969 in Trumann, Arkansas to Mary Hillard. Lora was a member of the Living Water Apostolic Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She enjoyed going on cruises, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family but especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include; one son: Zachary Golden (Shauna) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two daughters: Heather Clay (Matthew) of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and Natalie Golden of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister: Sherry McMunn of Marked Tree, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Matson, Amity, Kilian, Zada, Elauna, Lilian; and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by; husband: Mark Golden; and her mother: Mary Hillard.

Jon Payne, age 89, of Marion, Arkansas passed away on June 13, 2026 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee. He was born on May 6, 1937 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Raymond and Louise Payne. Jon was a very friendly person. He enjoyed picking up pecans, refinishing furniture, fishing, and spending time with his family. Irises were his favorite flower.

Survivors include; one daughter: Amy Sisson (David); one son: Jon Gregory Payne; four grandchildren: Rachel Hatch (Shaun), Melanie Crumpler (Kyle), Lainey McMurtrey (Devon), Gunter Payne (Micah); six great grandchildren: Leland Sisson, Tatum Crumpler, Dakota Hatch, Brady Hatch, Raylon Payne, Raymond Payne; one sister in law: Letha Payne; and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by; wife: Zada Payne; parents: Raymond and Louise Payne; four brothers: Jimmy Payne, Don Payne (twin brother) and wife Mary, Joe Payne and wife Carole, Jerry Payne; one grandson: Dusty Allen Sisson; and one daughter-in-law: Jeri Payne.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Cherry Valley, Arkansas with Bro. Matthew Kerley, Glenn Foster, Shawn Hatch officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

Margaret Peterson Keys, age 70, of Hornersville, Missouri passed away on June 12, 2026 at Mercy Hospital Southeast. She was born on April 28, 1956 to Eugene Peterson, Sr. and Lola Walling Peterson in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

As my beloved mother passed away, she was surrounded by the love of family, friends, and truly amazing medical staff. Throughout her life she faced many challenges with courage, determination, and grace. She managed to find hope and healing through family and fellowship that led her on a journey where she became a source of strength for herself and countless others.

Her honesty, compassion, willingness, encouragement, understanding, and friendship allowed her to continue to touch people she encountered daily. Above all she was a loving mother whose spirit left a lasting impression on myself and those fortunate enough to know her. She believed in second chances, the power of community, and the importance of helping others.

Survivors include; significant other: Jeff Keys; one daughter: Christina Watkins; two brothers: Eugene Peterson, Jr. (Patricia) and Erik Peterson (Barbara); six grandchildren: Courtney Neff, Corey Neff, Natalie Neff, 2 unnamed, Jasmine Watkins; three great grandchildren; and a host of other friends and extended family.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Trinity Community Church in Cardwell, Missouri.

Brenda was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Trumann, Arkansas. She enjoyed riding the motorcycle with her husband Benton, going to flea markets, and spending time with family and friends.

She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Thomas enjoyed camping, fishing, listening to rock music, remodeling vehicles, doing craftsman work, and spending time with family.
