We have Folk Fest memorabilia buttons in the store!

Folk Fest is a celebration of life that takes place on the main street of our very own Manistique. The most anticipated event of the year features vendors, crafters, food trucks, AND live music all day and night.

These buttons are a great keepsake with an excellent cause. 100% of the button sales will contribute to funding next year's fest. Come in and snag one before they're gone!

🥕 Food as Medicine Program – Apply Early! 🍎

Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital is proud to partner with the Food as Medicine Program in the Upper Peninsula, helping connect patients with fresh, healthy foods from local farmers markets.
This program provides weekly vouchers to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, supporting both your health and local agriculture.

✔ Who May Qualify?
You may qualify if you answer YES to at least 2 of the following:
• You have a chronic health condition or are at risk (examples include but are not limited to diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, COPD, kidney disease, or cancer)
• There is food insecurity in your household
• Your income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level

🍓 What Participants Receive
• $15 per week in farmers market vouchers
• $60 mailed monthly during the market season May - September
• Vouchers can be used at participating farmers markets across the Upper Peninsula
• Monthly recipes, nutrition tips, and food storage guidance sent with your vouchers

🩺 How to Enroll
Contact your provider for an application or call our patient navigator 906-341-3750.
Your provider will complete a referral form.
Sign a participant release form.
Our Patient Navigator will submit your referral to the program.

⏰ Apply early! Enrollment before the seasonal deadline ensures you receive vouchers during this year’s farmers market season. Important to note, there is a 2 year maximum for participation in the program.
