This week we welcomed the Minnesota Over-60 Band back to Generations! All our residents and all three classes from the child care were able to be there for the music, and all ages were clapping, singing, and even dancing along! Many thanks to these musicians for the wonderful morning of music! 🎶🎵

📢 UPDATE! 📢 Generations Child & Memory Care is growing!! We have heard the need within the greater Mankato area for specialized care for individuals living with dementia, and we are eager to announce our intergenerational community will be growing this summer. Our expansion is well underway with a target completion date in July.

Since Generations first opened in 2022, we have been able to serve twenty individuals living with dementia in our memory care. Beginning this summer, we will be able to serve thirty. 💜 We are so thankful to those who have trusted us with the care of their loved ones and to the residents, kiddos, and staff who make Generations such a special place. If you or someone you know is in need of the type of care we provide at Generations, please reach out for more information and to tour our intergenerational community. We can't wait for all that's to come!

Last week we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week! 🩶

Thank you will never truly be enough to express how grateful we are for our incredible child care teachers and early childhood educators. Every single day, you fill Generations with love, patience, laughter, and comfort, making it a true home away from home for all of our kiddos and families.

You are so much more than teachers. You are the warm hugs on hard mornings, the shoulders to cry on, the personal hair stylists fixing ponytails before playtime, the storytellers who spark imagination, the song singers who fill classrooms with joy, and the joke tellers who bring endless smiles and giggles. You nurture, encourage, teach, and love each child as if they were your own, helping them grow not only academically, but emotionally and socially as well.

Your dedication, kindness, creativity, and endless patience make such a lasting difference in the lives of our children and families every single day. We are beyond lucky and deeply thankful to have each and every one of you as part of the Generations family. 🩶

This week we got to honor our two amazing Registered Nurses — Hannah and Kylie — during National Nurses Week! 🩺🤍 Hannah and Kylie are the backbone of Generations. These ladies provide the most incredible care to our residents, and they are wonderful leaders to our team of care staff. We are all so grateful for you both!!! Happy Nurses Week! 🤍

Yesterday we welcomed the freshman choir from Mankato Christian Academy for a special breakfast time concert. They sang a number of pieces they performed for a recent concert, plus a couple they learned just for us — Blue Moon & Singin' in the Rain. What a joy! Thanks to these talented students and their director, Dr. Harstad, for the beautiful morning of music! 🎶
