As we celebrate Respiratory Care Week, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you serving in our vent and trach units. Your expertise, compassion, and dedication make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families every day.

You care for individuals with complex needs, bringing skill and patience to every treatment, reassurance during uncertain moments, and encouragement through each step of progress. Whether you are responding to an urgent need, celebrating a milestone, or helping a resident breathe more comfortably, your work supports their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Thank you for the teamwork you bring to our units, the guidance you share with your colleagues, and the relationships you build with residents and families. I recognize the responsibility you carry and deeply appreciate the heart you put into your work.

“As we celebrate National Healthcare Quality Week, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to our Regional Nurse Consultants and Clinical Quality Team.

Quality is often measured in numbers, outcomes, and metrics, but behind every improvement, every successful survey, every education initiative, and every patient experience is a team of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to make excellence possible.

I have the privilege of witnessing firsthand the commitment, expertise, and passion each of you brings to our organization. Your work may not always be visible to those at the bedside or in the patient's home, but its impact is felt in every visit, every clinician you support, every process you improve, and every patient whose care is made safer and better because of your efforts.

Thank you for being educators, mentors, problem-solvers, and advocates for quality care. Thank you for challenging us to be better, for leading with integrity, and for never losing sight of the people behind the data.

From phones and tablets to medical devices and other essential electronics, taking a few simple precautions can help prevent fires and keep the people we care for safe. This National Fire Safety Week, we are spreading awareness for safe charging practices:

✔️ Use the charger and cord recommended for your device
✔️ Keep charging devices on a hard, flat surface
✔️ Unplug devices when they’re fully charged when appropriate

A core belief of Rocky Mountain Care is that every patient deserves support, dignity, and exceptional care. This belief is especially important as we recognize this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month theme “Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters”. Every family that has received this diagnosis experiences a unique journey that deserves support, dignity, and quality care. This October, we want to raise awareness for support for those bravely battling breast cancer, as well as access to screenings and timely care.
