Monday morning thought:
Last week was another reminder of how much this work asks of you, and why it means so much to me.
There were several new OB visits, women beginning a new chapter and preparing to welcome new life.
And there were also several women I had to refer to a gynecologic oncologist because their evaluations raised serious concerns.
Those visits stayed with me.
In this field, some encounters are filled with excitement. Others are filled with difficult conversations and the responsibility of helping someone take the next step when the road ahead is not what they expected.
Both matter.
Sometimes caring for women means celebrating with them.
Sometimes it means sitting with them in hard moments, explaining what comes next, and making sure they are not navigating it alone.
That contrast is one of the things that keeps me grounded in this work.
New week. Same commitment: listen carefully, act thoughtfully, and care well.
What helps keep you grounded when your work or life carries both joy and difficult moments?
Let’s go. 💪🏾
