Monday mornings are a reminder that medicine is always moving forward.

Yesterday, we wrapped up the OB/GYN rotation for two residents. Today, we welcome two new residents and a medical student to the team.

A full office schedule. A full surgery schedule. New learners. New opportunities to teach, serve, and make a difference.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is caring for women while helping train the next generation of physicians. The patients we care for today and the lessons we teach today can have an impact that extends far beyond this week.

New team. Busy schedule. Endless opportunities to do good.

Let’s go. 💪🏾

Many women are told their symptoms are “just stress.”

Sometimes they’re right.

But sometimes, the real answer is perimenopause.

If you’re noticing changes in your sleep, mood, or menstrual cycles, it may be worth taking a closer look.

Have you ever been told stress was the cause of your symptoms, but felt there was more to the story? 👇🏾

This past week again reminded me why I chose OB/GYN.

Long clinic days.
Hours in the operating room.
Late nights at the hospital.

But helping women through some of life’s biggest moments never gets old.

The work can be exhausting, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. It remains one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Grateful for the patients who place their trust in me, the nurses and staff who make the work possible, and the families celebrating new beginnings this weekend. 🙏🏾👶🏾

How did last week go for you? Describe it in one word. 👇🏾

Still having periods but feeling like your body is changing?

Many women use the terms perimenopause and menopause interchangeably, but they’re not the same thing.

Understanding the difference can help explain symptoms like irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, sleep problems, and more.

How old were you when your symptoms first started? Let me know in the comments. 👇🏾

One thing medicine has taught me:

Everyone is carrying something you can’t see.

Last night, I had the privilege of delivering two babies. One delivery kept us in the OR until nearly 10 PM, and another until about 2:30 AM.

One of the moms had a particularly difficult pregnancy and needed a lot of care and support along the way. Seeing both mother and baby doing well made the long night more than worth it.

Moments like these remind me that behind every patient, coworker, and stranger is a story we may never fully know.

A little kindness, patience, and encouragement can go a long way.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Friday evening and a great weekend ahead.

What’s one good thing that happened to you this week?

Not all breech babies are positioned the same way.

Frank. Complete. Footling.

Different positions can influence delivery planning later in pregnancy. Which one had you heard of before? 👇🏾

Baby breech? Don’t panic just yet.

Breech does NOT automatically mean something is wrong. Many babies are still moving and changing positions earlier in pregnancy.

Were you told your baby was breech? Share how things turned out 👇🏾

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Weekend 🇺🇸

After church today with my beautiful wife, taking a moment to slow down and reflect.

This weekend is about more than cookouts, time off, and the unofficial start of summer. It’s a time to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for the freedoms we often take for granted.

Today I’m grateful for faith, family, health, meaningful work, and the privilege of living in a nation built on the sacrifices of so many.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy time with those you love, make memories, and take a moment to remember those who made it possible. 🙏🏾🇺🇸

What’s one thing you’re especially grateful for this weekend, and what are your plans?
