Outdoor recreation should be accessible to everyone!

This article from the Adirondack Explorer addresses the Adirondack Rail Trail from the perspective of someone who uses a wheelchair; bringing attention to the importance of accessibility in outdoor recreation. It offers an opportunity to consider how accessible our trails really are and the barriers people with disabilities may encounter when enjoying the outdoors. We encourage everyone to give it a read and think about why inclusive recreational spaces matter to our communities!

The Rail Trail provides an accessible option for viewing, enjoying and being immersed in the Adirondack wilderness.
