Recovery is built by community. 💚

The ✨Rebuilders Celebration✨may last just one evening, but the work it celebrates happens every single day.

It happens when someone finds a safe place to begin again.
When a family finds hope.
When a person in recovery discovers how life can be on the other side.
And it happens because there are people, businesses, organizations, and community partners who believe that lives can be rebuilt and recovery is possible.

To every sponsor and "Inn-Kind" supporter who stood with Way Back Inn for the 2026 Rebuilders Celebration: thank you.

Your support helped bring 250 members of our community together in celebration of recovery, while helping sustain the work that continues long after the tables are cleared and the last auction item goes home.

Some of you have stood beside Way Back Inn for years. Some joined us for the first time this year. Every one of you became part of a story that began nearly 70 years ago and continues with every individual and family who walks through our doors.

Thank you for investing in recovery.
Thank you for believing in second chances.
And thank you for being Rebuilders. 💚

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we honor the lives lost to overdose and the families, friends, and communities who carry their memory.

As we enter National Recovery Month tomorrow, we also honor those who are still here, those seeking help, and the millions of people who remind us every day that recovery is possible.

If you or someone you love is struggling with substance use, Way Back Inn is here to help.

What. A. Night. 💚

Consider us floored. You raised paddles, raised funds, and somehow raised the bar all at the same time.

Thank you to everyone who helped us build an unforgettable ✨Rebuilders Celebration✨ and, more importantly, to each and every one of you who continues to help us rebuild lives.

We cannot thank you enough.

Taking Second Place in the Visual Arts category of the 2026 Problem Gambling Awareness Art Competition is Carrie Faruto of Chicago, Illinois.

Carrie’s piece titled “The Breakthrough,” captures the isolating emotional landscape of addiction. The central figure, a woman trapped in the grip of problem gambling, exists in a world so consuming that she begins to turn to stone. Yet in a defiant act of strength, she tears open the dark, ominous sky to reveal a brilliant blue beyond, a symbol of hope and the possibility of a life free from addiction. Her green dress echoes this same promise: renewal, growth, and new beginnings.
