Does a massage have to hurt to work? 🤔

Nope! In fact, more pressure isn't always better.

Your muscles have nerves that help them sense touch, pressure, and pain.

When pressure is too strong, your body may tense up to protect itself. That's the opposite of what we want!

A good massage doesn't have to leave you sore or bruised.

Light, medium, and firm pressure can all be helpful. What matters most is how your body responds.

And here's something to remember. You can always ask your massage therapist to use more or less pressure!

Massage should be something you work through together, not something you have to endure. 🤍
