📚 Does your child need a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) at school? If challenging behaviors are affecting your child’s learning, safety, or success at school, a BIP may help. You can request a meeting, ask about a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), and discuss appropriate behavior supports with the school team.

💡 Important: Your child does not always have to already have an IEP to receive behavioral supports.

We’re hosting another session of our training specifically for caregivers of teens and young adults. Due to the Fourth of July holiday, this session will only run for four weeks. This is not aimed at professionals. It is strictly for those supporting loved ones who are autistic. The registration link can be found in our bio.

For those of you who follow, John, Mister West, on instagram, I just saw that he passed away from natural causes. I’m absolutely heartbroken, he was the most beautiful human being, sweet, kind, loving, full of life and laughter. His sister gave him the most amazing life, she took the best care of him.

The Buffalo Bills are set to make their new Highmark Stadium one of the most sensory-inclusive sports venues in the world.

The new stadium will include 7 sensory rooms designed for autistic and sensory-sensitive fans — reportedly more than any other stadium worldwide.

For many autistic people, attending live sports can be overwhelming due to:
• loud crowd noise
• bright/flashing lights
• constant announcements
• packed concourses
• unpredictable sounds and energy

The sensory rooms are being designed to help fans regulate and decompress without having to leave the game completely. Features are expected to include quieter environments, sensory tools, calming lighting, and spaces away from the noise of the stadium.

The Bills are also partnering with KultureCity, an organization focused on sensory accessibility, to help make the experience more inclusive for fans and families.

Small changes like this can make a huge difference in whether autistic people feel able to attend large public events comfortably.
