Pregnancy hormones can cause temporary changes in vision, including blurry vision, dry eyes, and contact lens discomfort. These changes often improve after delivery.

If you experience sudden vision loss, flashes, floaters, or severe blurriness, contact your healthcare provider promptly.

☀️ Summer Contact Lens Tip
Heading to the pool or beach? Remember: water and contact lenses don't mix! Swimming, hot tubs, and even showering in contacts can increase the risk of serious eye infections.
Protect your eyes this summer by keeping lenses away from water, staying hydrated, and wearing UV-blocking sunglasses outdoors.
Healthy habits = healthy eyes all summer long! 😎

How much screen time is too much for your child's eyes?

If your child complains of:
• Tired eyes 👀
• Headaches 🤕
• Blurry vision 📱
• Difficulty focusing 📚

Screen time may be playing a role.

Digital devices reduce how often we blink and encourage long periods of close-up work, both of which can strain young eyes.

One simple tip: Encourage kids to spend time outdoors every day. Studies show that outdoor time may help reduce the risk of developing nearsightedness.

🕶️ Sunglasses: Fashion or Protection? 🕶️

Great sunglasses do both!

While style matters, the most important feature is 100% UV protection. Without it, harmful UV rays can increase the risk of cataracts, macular degeneration, and other eye conditions.

✔️ Choose sunglasses that block 100% of UVA & UVB rays
✔️ Wear them year-round, even on cloudy days
✔️ Don't assume darker lenses provide better protection

😴 Sleeping in Contacts? Think Again
It might seem harmless… but it’s risky 👀
🚫 Less oxygen to your eyes
🚫 Higher risk of infection
🚫 Increased dryness & irritation
👉 Take them out before bed—your eyes need a break too

Still seeing “okay” doesn’t always mean you’re seeing your best 👀

Here are signs it might be time for an update: Frequent headaches, eye strain or fatigue, blurry vision (near or far), squinting more than usual. trouble seeing clearly at night

⏰ Even without symptoms, you should have your prescription checked once a year

💡 Vision changes can be subtle—but the right prescription makes a big difference in comfort and clarity!
