šŸ’œ How can you create meaningful moments with someone living with Alzheimer’s?

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Familiar, everyday activities can provide opportunities to connect and spend time together.

Look through family photos. Water the plants. Fold towels together. Sit outside. Work on a favorite puzzle. Choose something connected to the person’s interests or daily routines.

And remember, the goal isn’t to finish the activity or do it perfectly. The activity is simply a way to create connection.

For someone living with Alzheimer’s, a simple moment together can still be a meaningful one. šŸ’œ

šŸ’™ Learning doesn’t have an age limit.

A new hobby. A new recipe. A new skill. A new book. Even learning something new about a subject you’ve loved for years.

Staying curious and continuing to learn can keep life interesting and give us something new to look forward to at every age.

What’s something you’ve learned recently? We’d love to hear it!

šŸ’œ 7.4 Million Americans.

That’s the estimated number of people age 65 and older living with Alzheimer’s dementia in the United States in 2026.

Behind that number are millions of individuals, families, friends, and caregivers whose lives are affected by this disease.

And the impact continues to grow. According to the Alzheimer's Association, about 1 in 9 Americans age 65 and older is living with Alzheimer’s dementia.

Knowing the numbers helps us understand just how many families are touched by Alzheimer’s and why continued awareness, education, support, and research matter. šŸ’œ

šŸ’œ Caregiver Tip: Sometimes, Correcting Isn’t the Answer

When someone living with Alzheimer’s or dementia says something that isn’t accurate, our first instinct may be to correct them. But proving what’s right can sometimes lead to more confusion or frustration.

Instead, try focusing on the feeling behind what they’re saying. Are they worried? Looking for someone? Feeling unsure or upset?

Acknowledge the emotion, offer reassurance, and gently redirect the conversation when it helps.

You don’t have to agree with everything being said. Sometimes, the most helpful response is simply making sure your loved one feels heard, safe, and supported. šŸ’œ
