Thank you, Tom, our amazing Culinary Director, for the best "reindeer food" we've ever had! The weather outside was frightfully hot, but inside was cool and sweet!

We joyfully sang Christmas melodies while sipping on refreshing icy cocoa frostys made from hot chocolate mix. Topped with whipped cream and sprinkles, we exuberantly want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas in July, because we know December will return in the blink of an eye!!!

What began as a day of disappointment became one of the most meaningful celebrations our community has ever experienced.

Due to the extreme heat, we made the difficult decision to cancel our Annual Family Picnic. While everyone understood, there was no hiding the disappointment.

But little did our residents know, something very special was waiting for them.

Throughout the day, staff kept a surprise under wraps as residents and their families gathered for what we simply called an "Awards Ceremony." One by one, every resident was recognized with a personalized award celebrating the qualities that make them so special—from their kindness and resilience to their humor, talents, and joyful spirits.

There were smiles, laughter, happy tears, and heartfelt moments as families watched their loved ones be celebrated for exactly who they are. One resident proudly accepted the "Biggest Flirt" Award with a puckered smile, while another was honored as our "Community Cheerleader" for her endless positivity and encouragement.

For one unforgettable afternoon, no one was defined by age or limitations. Every resident was seen, celebrated, and reminded just how much they mean to our Preserve family.

Sometimes the most beautiful moments come from unexpected changes. What started as a canceled picnic ended with full hearts, cherished memories, and a celebration that no one will soon forget. ❤️
