What started as a blank canvas became a beautiful reflection of our community. 🎨

As part of National Skilled Nursing Care Week, residents and staff at Silver Springs participated in iCare Health Network’s collaborative art initiative inspired by this year’s theme, “Moments in Bloom.”

Using their own creativity, memories, and ideas, our team transformed a three-foot by three-foot canvas into a personal expression of who we are at Silver Springs. Each detail reflects the thought, care, and heart that went into bringing this piece to life.

We are so proud to have contributed to this meaningful exhibit celebrating creativity, connection, and community across iCare Health Network.

iCare Health Network and all of our care centers are excited to participate in National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW), taking place May 10–16, 2026.

This year’s NSNCW theme, “Moments in Bloom,” celebrates skilled nursing centers, along with the residents, patients, staff, and families who make these communities so meaningful. Established by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) in 1967, NSNCW is an annual week-long observance recognizing the essential role skilled nursing care centers play in supporting America’s older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Stay tuned all week to see what our teams are up to as we celebrate the moments, people, and connections that make our communities bloom!

From May 6–12, iCare Health Network is proud to celebrate National Nurses Week 2026 and recognize the incredible nurses across our care centers. 💙

This year’s theme, “The Power of Nurses,” is something we see in action every day. We see it in the compassion shown at the bedside, the clinical skill that supports healing and recovery, the comfort offered to families, and the trust built with residents and patients over time.

Our nurses are caregivers, advocates, educators, leaders, and steady sources of reassurance in moments that matter most. Their work is deeply felt across every iCare care center and in every life they touch.

To every nurse across iCare Health Network: thank you for your professionalism, your compassion, and the countless ways you go above and beyond each day. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

Throughout the week, our care centers will be celebrating our nursing teams in meaningful ways, and we invite our communities, families, and partners to join us in showing appreciation for the remarkable individuals who embody the true power of nursing.

Please join us in welcoming Robert Henige to iCare Health Network as Regional Director of Operations.

Robert brings more than two decades of experience across the post-acute care continuum, including home health, hospice, and skilled nursing operations. Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for leading through complexity, supporting teams, and driving operational and clinical excellence.

During Social Workers Month, we’re proud to recognize the incredible social workers across iCare Health Network who help guide residents and families through some of life’s most complex moments. 💙

Social workers play an essential role in skilled nursing and long-term care, supporting residents whose needs often extend far beyond clinical care alone. From leading care plan meetings and completing PASRRs to helping address behavioral health needs, cognitive challenges, housing insecurity, and discharge planning, their work is both deeply practical and profoundly compassionate.

They advocate, coordinate, problem-solve, and collaborate across disciplines to help ensure every resident receives thoughtful, individualized support — no matter how complex the situation may be.

This year’s Social Workers Month theme from the National Association of Social Workers, Social Workers: Uplift. Defend. Transform., reflects the impact they make each day in our centers.

🌟 Celebrating Long Term Care Administrators Week! 🌟

Meet Maria Serrano, Administrator at Silver Springs Care Center. With more than 30 years in long-term care, Maria brings deep experience, compassion, and leadership to her role each day.

Maria was drawn to the field because of her profound respect for older adults. As she shares:
“I entered this field over 30 years ago because I believe our elders are a living library of wisdom.”

Over the years, she has remained passionate about helping create an environment where residents can thrive and feel truly at home. Maria believes long-term care is about much more than clinical support; it’s about community, connection, and belonging.

“This isn’t just a place to stay. It is a vibrant community where a diverse group of residents and staff live and work together. Real friendships are made with a true sense of belonging.”

Maria leads by putting residents first while empowering her team with the support and tools they need to deliver the best possible care. She also sets a welcoming tone each day by greeting residents and staff with a friendly hello and taking time for quick conversations throughout the building.
