🧠 Would you know you’re stressed if no one told you?

You might be surprised by what your mind and body reveal when you’re under pressure.

During Pritikin’s 51st Anniversary Week, behavioral health expert Carolina Gaunaurd, MS, LMHC, will lead The Reset Lab, an interactive experience that puts your stress response to the test.

This isn’t a traditional lecture.

Through three brief, controlled challenges, you’ll discover how you respond to mental pressure, sensory overload, and frustration, then practice simple techniques to help you recover.

🌬️ Intentional breathing.
💪 Physical relaxation.
🌱 Gratitude and shifting attention.

The goal isn’t to eliminate stress. It’s to recognize your response and build practical recovery skills you can take home.

❤️ Stress is inevitable. Recovery is a skill.

✨ What if reaching your goals isn't just about trying harder?

Sometimes, the challenge isn't a lack of motivation. It's finding a different way to move forward.

That's the conversation author Meryl Blau is bringing to Pritikin's 51st Anniversary Week.

📖 In her new book, The Grit Factor, Meryl introduces a four-part framework built around Groundwork, Resilience, Intensity, and Temper, designed to help people move beyond feeling stuck and start pursuing the goals that matter most to them.

And she's joining us at Pritikin to share her perspective in person!

💪 Should your workout change as you age?

For Frank Musumeci, Biomechanical & Musculoskeletal Director at Pritikin Longevity Center, exercise shouldn't be one-size-fits-all.

During his 21 years at Pritikin, Frank has helped guests think differently about movement, focusing on how factors such as age, posture, body mechanics, and individual orthopedic needs can influence how we exercise.

His philosophy fits naturally with this year's National Physical Therapy Month theme, PT For Future Me. What we do for our strength, mobility, and physical function today can support how we want to move in the future. 💪

❤️ Because moving well isn't only about today. It's an investment in the years ahead.

💬 Has the way you exercise changed as you've gotten older?

🩺 What brings people to Pritikin?

According to Dr. Marianela Areces, Medical Director at Pritikin Longevity Center, there isn’t one answer.

Some guests arrive wanting to address existing health concerns such as high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, obesity, or cardiovascular disease. Others may be responding to a recent diagnosis or health scare.

🌱 Others are thinking proactively about prevention and healthy aging, including family history, known risk factors, or changes in their activity levels.

❤️ Through the Pritikin Transformation Program, physician-led guidance and objective health measurements help guests better understand where they are, while nutrition, movement, and education give them opportunities to put healthier changes into practice during their stay.

Different starting points. Different goals. But often, one shared motivation:
A desire to take greater control of their health.

💬 What motivates you to think about your health: how you feel today or protecting your health for the future?

🦴 Bone health is part of healthy aging.

For World Osteoporosis Day, we’re shining a light on something easy to overlook until it becomes a problem: bone health.

💪 Regular weight-bearing and muscle-strengthening activity can help support bone health and physical function.

🥗 A balanced, nutrient-rich eating pattern helps provide nutrients important for maintaining healthy bones.

🩺 Osteoporosis can develop without obvious symptoms. Understanding your individual risk and asking your healthcare provider whether screening is right for you are important steps, too.

Supporting healthy aging means thinking about the body as a whole, including the bones and muscles that help keep us moving.

🔖 Save this as a reminder to make bone health part of the conversation.

🥗 What’s one simple healthy-eating habit worth taking home?

For Lon Ben-Asher, Registered Dietitian at Pritikin Longevity Center, it starts with focusing on more whole, unprocessed foods.

🌱 In the real world, convenient and highly processed foods are everywhere. But focusing on more whole foods can help make healthier choices a more consistent part of everyday life.

As part of the Pritikin Transformation Program, guests don’t simply learn about healthier eating. They have the opportunity to put nutrition principles into practice every day and build habits they can continue long after their stay.

On World Food Day, it’s a useful reminder that small, practical choices can help support your health well beyond the plate

❤️ Introducing the Pritikin Transformation Program.

A new name for an approach more than 50 years in the making.

We all know we should eat better, move more, sleep better, and manage stress. But knowing what to do and making lasting changes are two very different things.

That’s where Pritikin is different.

The Pritikin Transformation Program brings together board-certified physicians, nutritionists, exercise physiologists, culinary experts, and behavioral experts who work together to support your health.

Because real transformation doesn’t come from one appointment, one diet, or one workout, it happens when everything works together.

💚 At Pritikin, you don’t just learn what it means to be healthier. You actually live it.

For a week or more, you’re immersed in an experience where every meal, workout, class, and consultation is an opportunity to put healthier choices into practice.

It’s about turning what you know into how you live.

✨ Wherever you are today, you can begin changing where your health is headed tomorrow.

💬 Comment TRANSFORM and we’ll send you more information about the Pritikin Transformation Program.

What might surprise you after four days at Pritikin?

Woman’s World Health Director Rachel Cosma recently spent four days experiencing Pritikin Longevity Center firsthand, and three healthy-aging lessons in particular stood out:

🧂 Sodium can hide where you don’t expect it.
💪 More cardio isn’t always better.
😴 Rest and recovery deserve a place alongside diet and exercise.

The three takeaways highlight something important about the Pritikin approach: supporting your health isn’t about focusing on one isolated habit. Nutrition, movement, recovery, and education all play a role.

Curious what else she discovered?
