After six years without walking, Linda Tracy was ready to get back to doing the things she loves. đź’™
📸: When Ms. Tracy began physical therapy with CenterWell Home Health® in Russellville, Arkansas, Bryan Harris, PTA, believed she could accomplish her goals through our Safe Strides® program. He asked if she would let him help her strengthen her legs because he believed she could walk again. "If you promise you will not drop me," said Ms. Tracy.
Bryan kept his promise. With his support and a personalized care plan, Linda rebuilt her strength and progressed from needing help with transfers to getting up and eventually, walking on her own, within six weeks. This accomplishment made it possible for Ms. Tracy to travel to see her sister, whom she had not seen for seven years.
Before her trip, Talisa Piker, Home Health Specialist, visited Ms. Tracy at her home to celebrate! She brought balloons and a small gift - a birdhouse with two daisies. When Linda's granddaughter saw it, she pointed to Ms. Tracy's shirt. The same birdhouse, with the same daisies, was printed on it.
For Ms. Tracy, her granddaughter and Talisa, this moment was filled with joy. Ms. Tracy shared that it felt like confirmation that she made the right choice in choosing CenterWell® to rebuild her life.
