🇨🇻 Since July 5, 1975, Cabo Verde has been winning.

From independence to becoming a regional leader in education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and child well-being, our small island nation has shown the world what resilience and vision can achieve.

Our football team captured the hearts of the world as they showcased the very spirit of Cabo Verde—our strength, self-love, and limitless potential. They reminded the world that greatness is not measured by size, but by determination, unity, heart, and faith.

There’s still much work ahead. But, blessed to have been born free in a country built by courageous women and men, a county that celebrates women and invests in its children.

Happy Independence Day, Cabo Verde! Nôs terra. Nôs orgulho. Nôs futuro. 🇨🇻❤️💙💛

🌍 Top 50 globally 
🎓 Girls lead in education with high literacy and strong school completion
👩🏽‍⚕️ Women make up the majority of the medical workforce in Cabo Verde, with female physicians accounting for nearly 60% of all doctors
🏛️ ~40% of parliament and ministers = women
❤️ One of few African countries with legal abortion + strong reproductive rights 
⚖️ But—women still earn less and face workforce gaps
