🌻 59 Years of Growing Together! 🌻

What an incredible day of celebration! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Arnold Center's 59th Annual Picnic as we celebrated nearly six decades of empowering individuals, building community, and growing together.

A heartfelt thank you to our Board of Directors for taking the time to celebrate alongside us and for your continued leadership, guidance, and support of our mission.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Consumers Energy for making this year's celebration even more meaningful. We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation of our new electric transportation van, which is already making a tremendous difference by helping reduce transportation barriers and expanding opportunities for the individuals we serve. Your investment in our mission will have a lasting impact on our community.

To our amazing Arnold Center staff—thank you for the countless hours of planning, organizing, decorating, and making the day so memorable. Your dedication and commitment to those we serve are evident in everything you do.

And to our outstanding Good Kitchen team—you truly outdid yourselves once again! The delicious food and wonderful hospitality helped make the celebration extra special.

Most importantly, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the individuals we serve, their families, guardians, and support networks. Thank you for entrusting us with your care, your time, your goals, and your incredible talents. It is an honor to walk beside you, celebrate your successes, and support your journey.

For 59 years, the Arnold Center has been built on the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to work, live, and thrive. We are proud of everything we've accomplished together, and we're excited for all that lies ahead.

📢 Arnold Center - Gladwin Location Closed Today

Due to the emergency situation affecting the City of Gladwin Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Arnold Center's Gladwin location will be closed today.

The City has requested that residents and businesses refrain from using bathroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, showers, and other plumbing fixtures, following damage to the wastewater treatment plant that appears to have been caused by last night's thunderstorm. This precaution is necessary to help prevent potential sewage backups while the City assesses the damage and works to restore operations.

Our services will continue as follows:
✅ Residential Services will continue as scheduled.
✅ Alternative community activities have been arranged for individuals receiving Group CLS Services. Staff will communicate directly with participants and families regarding today's plans.

The safety and well-being of the individuals we serve and our staff remain our highest priority. We appreciate your understanding and patience as the City works to resolve this situation.

We will continue to monitor updates from the City of Gladwin and will share additional information regarding our operations as it becomes available.

We are excited to share that Evan has recently gained community employment at Riverside Place Senior Living Community! Evan will be working in the kitchen, helping ensure that residents have clean dishes and tables so they can enjoy their meals in a clean and welcoming environment.
