We took the guided historic canal ride in downtown Richmond! The views were stunning, and it was so cool to soak in all the history while gliding along the water. Perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon! If you haven’t done it yet, you definitely should!

Our residents had a special visit from local therapy dogs, and the smiles were contagious. Watching everyone light up as they petted and played with our furry friends was heartwarming. It’s amazing how a little wagging tail can brighten the day!

We had the most amazing luau celebration! The vibe was incredible, and the highlight was definitely the performance by the Happy Hula Dancers. Their energy and grace brought the whole event to life! Can’t wait to relive those tropical vibes again next year!

Meet our Executive Director, Patrick Hines!

Originally from El Paso, Texas, Patrick relocated to Virginia through a role with Novartis Pharmaceutical, bringing his background in the pharmaceutical and surgical industries to the Richmond area. Patrick was driven to enter senior living after watching an elderly friend pass away and started in the marketing department to help make a difference in seniors' lives. As for a surprising fun fact? He once joined a fight club—though, true to the rule, he can’t talk much about it.

We just wrapped up the Brookdale Midlothian Carnival, and wow, what a blast! The decorations were a total thrill, the food was delicious, and the games were so much fun. It was great to see everyone out enjoying the festivities. Can’t wait for next year!
