Support can start with reaching out.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, a reminder that mental and emotional health matter.

Changes in routine, school stress, caregiving responsibilities, work pressure, shorter days, and life transitions can feel heavy. If you or someone you care about is struggling, reaching out for support can be an important first step.

You do not have to have all the right words. Checking in, listening, and encouraging someone to talk with a trusted provider or mental health professional can make a difference.

If you or someone you know needs immediate help, call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Ragweed, mold, and changing weather can bring on seasonal symptoms.

Fall allergy season can bring sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes, coughing, sinus pressure, and a scratchy throat.

With school, work, and fall activities back in full swing, it can be easy to brush off symptoms or assume they will pass. But if symptoms are lingering, getting worse, affecting sleep, or making it hard to keep up with daily routines, it may be time to check in with a provider.

Your provider can help determine whether you are dealing with seasonal allergies, a cold, sinus concerns, or something else.

Talk with your provider if fall symptoms are sticking around or getting worse.

Recognizing our therapy team on World Physical Therapy Day.

Today is World Physical Therapy Day, and we are grateful for the therapy professionals who help patients rebuild strength, improve movement, increase balance, and regain confidence.

Physical therapy can be an important part of recovery after surgery, illness, injury, or a hospital stay. It can also help patients work toward everyday goals, like walking more comfortably, returning to work, staying active, or safely managing daily tasks.

Thank you to our therapy team for the care, encouragement, and support you provide to patients each day.

Join us in thanking Pomerene’s therapy team.

As school routines settle in, packed lunches can play an important role in helping kids feel ready for the day.

A balanced lunch does not have to be complicated. Try including a protein, a fruit or vegetable, a whole grain, and water when possible. Simple options like turkey wraps, cheese sticks, yogurt, apples, carrots, hard-boiled eggs, whole-grain crackers, or leftovers can help keep kids fueled through classes, recess, and after-school activities.

Healthy habits are built one day at a time, and the lunchbox is a good place to start.

For older adults, a fall health check-in can include reviewing medications, checking blood pressure, talking through changes in mobility, staying current on screenings, and asking questions about any new symptoms or concerns.

Staying healthy as you age does not have to be complicated. A conversation with your provider can help you understand what needs attention and what steps may help you feel your best heading into the months ahead.
