Projectid Project id is a non-profit organization serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Projectid is a non-profit organization established to provide recreation, social, work, and other life opportunities for adults (and their families) with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Spokane County. Projectid was formed out of the vision of one set of parents and their desire to create a future for their daughter and her peers who have special needs. This would allow them to enjo

y the same pleasures, responsibilities, and growth opportunities as every young adult but within a context that met but challenged their needs. That vision, shared with a group of coaches and volunteers already passionate about this population through Special Olympics Sports (Spokane's Wolfpack), formed the foundation for Project id. Project is about to open a recreation center for adults with intellectual disabilities and begin programming including family resources, classes and groups on life and living skills and specialized job training.

๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŽณ This week, the group did what they usually doโ€ฆ found some great places to explore and went bowling! ๐ŸŽณ๐Ÿ‚

They headed out to Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge and enjoyed the beautiful weather, which is starting to give us just a little hint of fall. ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฟ

While exploring, they discovered some bridges, a gazebo that made the perfect spot to rest their tootsies, and plenty of beautiful scenery along the way! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Then it was off to the bowling alley, where they had a blast, made a new friend, and knocked down a few pins! ๐ŸŽณ๐Ÿ˜

Our members enjoyed getting out and exploring all that Green Bluff has to offer. They had fun walking around, checking out the different goodies, and of course, finding a few things to bring home! ๐Ÿ˜Š

They picked up some fresh **apples and onions** ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿง…โ€”and you know you canโ€™t pass up a good find when you see one!

And as if that wasnโ€™t enough, they even stumbled upon a **yard sale!** ๐Ÿ›๏ธ You just never know what treasures you might find when youโ€™re out exploring!

**๐ŸŽฒ New Games & Karaoke Fun! ๐ŸŽค**

We have some **new games** at The Den, and our members seem to be loving them! ๐ŸŽฒ๐Ÿ˜„ Thereโ€™s definitely some friendly competition happening, but the best part is seeing everyone **cheer each other on** and have fun together. ๐Ÿ’™

We also had a fantastic time with **Karaoke!** ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŽถ There was good music, plenty of dancing, lots of laughs, and, of course, great friends!

We love seeing our members having fun, trying new things, and enjoying time together. โค๏ธ

The group enjoyed a relaxing walk at High Bridge Park, and the temperatures were absolutely perfect! ๐Ÿ˜Š

The group enjoyed a picnic lunch at Manito Park and then headed off to St. Johnโ€™s Cathedral for a tour. ๐Ÿฅช๐ŸŒฟโ›ช

Theyโ€™re making the most of these last few days of sunshine, and what a perfect way to do it!

The tour at St. Johnโ€™s is always fascinating. There are so many nooks, crannies, beautiful details, and hidden treasures throughout the Cathedral that it would take a multitude of trips to see it all! โœจ

Our group always seems to enjoy exploring and learning about this amazing place. โค๏ธ

Well, here we areโ€ฆ September 2026! Where did the summer go? Itโ€™s been an eventful summer, and thankfully, we still have a couple of weeks of beautiful weather left to enjoy! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

We also wanted to share an important update for our Engagement participants. We know that the cost of admission has been a roadblock for some when it comes to participating in certain community activities. To help remove that barrier, we will now be covering admission/entrance fees for activities such as movies and bowling. ๐ŸŽฌ๐ŸŽณ

Please keep in mind that any food, drinks, souvenirs, or trinkets purchased during these outings will still be the participantโ€™s responsibility.

Polka Dot Pottery will remain at the participantโ€™s expense, and we will limit these types of activities. Weโ€™ll always let everyone know ahead of time when an activity will have an additional cost.

We hope this change will make it easier for more of our participants to get out, have fun, and enjoy some of the activities in our community! โค๏ธ

They did, however, find a turtle to feed after lunch! And of course, because this group canโ€™t seem to stay away from water, they found some water to play in too! ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Weโ€™re really not sure what this group is going to do when it gets too cold for swimming and splash pads! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Somehow, they managed to fit duck feeding, lunch, ice cream, turtle feeding, AND water fun all into one outing! ๐Ÿฆ†๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ’ฆ

Now THAT is how you make the most of a summer day! โ˜€๏ธโค๏ธ Everyone had a very good time! โฃ๏ธ
