Our residents brought the speed, focus, and a little friendly competition to today’s Cups Game. When that call of “CUPS!” came, those hands were MOVING! 🙌🥤

Seventeen years ago, when Rose and Elvin first walked through the doors at Edgewood Fargo, those were the famous words of their granddaughter. But after all these years, Rose has learned that the best part of choosing senior living isn’t just about the beautiful dining room, the activities, or the amenities.

🎂 100 Years of Life, Memories & Wisdom! 🎂

Today we had the privilege of celebrating George "Jerry" Franklin and his incredible 100th birthday! We sang Happy Birthday and asked George a few questions about what he has learned over a century of living.

When asked what is better about life today, George replied:

“Well, nothing takes hard labor anymore.”

Did he ever think he would live to be 100?
“No!” George said. He took an early retirement and never dreamed he would live this long!

🍵 His secret to reaching 100?
“Drink tea every day and eat your fruits and vegetables.”

❤️ His advice for the younger generation?
“Do things right and don’t take shortcuts.”

And when we asked what he is most thankful for after 100 years, George spoke proudly of the 34 years he worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone in Minot.

One hundred years. A century of change, hard work, memories and experiences—and some pretty good advice for the rest of us.

Happy 100th Birthday, George! We are so honored to celebrate this remarkable milestone with you. 🎈🎉🎂

And I think we may all need to start drinking a little more tea. ☕😉

🎉 Happy Birthday, Maynard! 🎂

Maynard’s birthday was Saturday, but he was busy celebrating with his family — so yesterday, it was our turn to celebrate him! ❤️

We made sure he got his birthday song and a little extra birthday attention from his Edgewood family. We hope you had a wonderful birthday weekend, Maynard, and wish you many more happy celebrations to come! 🥳🎈
