To our residents' families and loved ones, we want to reassure you that as we watch the weather tonight, your family is our top priority.

We have a dedicated, wonderful team of staff members who are designated to remain on-site overnight to weather the storm right alongside our residents.

Please rest assured that our community is fully prepared for any disruptions:

• We are fully stocked with food and water, and meals will continue to be served.
• Our community is equipped to operate fully on generator power in the event of a power outage. The generator has been tested, fueled, and is operating efficiently.
• Leadership and staff will remain on-site to monitor the community and respond to resident needs throughout the storm.

Important Notice for Apartment Residents: If you are concerned about losing power or sheltering in place alone, you are highly encouraged and advised to head over to the main building to stay with us tonight. Our dining room on the first floor is our designated meeting area. If you choose to do so, please head over prior to 6pm!

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, participated, shopped, and celebrated with us for the 2026 Gordon Oaks Fall Festival. You made this event truly sweet!

We loved seeing our Apartment Living, All-Inclusive Independent Living, and Memory Care neighborhoods come together to play games and browse through the stunning handmade gifts, festive seasonal decor, custom ornaments, and beautiful jewelry.

Our vibrant spaces were filled with autumn joy, laughter, and so many incredible local treasures. From the excitement of the cake walk to the messy joy of eating fresh caramel apples, it was the perfect way to welcome the season.

A special shoutout to our talented vendors and the wonderful residents and families who made this autumn day so memorable. We are already looking forward to the next one! 🍁🍏🥮

Serving up sunshine and smiles in the courtyard! We brought out the beach ball, and our Memory Care residents brought the absolute best energy. You can't catch this kind of joy anywhere else!

We kicked off the weekend early with an indoor tailgate party. Our wonderful residents showed out in their favorite college football shirts, brought a delicious homemade dish to share, and decorated their own tables with team colors and school pride! Staff announced winners for best decorated table and best dressed fan.

Thank you to all the residents and staff who teamed up to make this day so special with team spirit and an amazing spread of sweet and savory treats.

Our residents exercised their word muscles with a classic sub-word challenge! We took the name of our wonderful volunteer, Monica Crabtree, scrambled up the letters, and raced against the clock to see how many smaller words we could find.

Brain games like these are a resident favorite here at Gordon Oaks Senior Living, keeping our minds active, sharp, and competitive while having a blast together. We love when our community volunteers bring such fun, engaging activities to our campus!

Our residents, joined by some of their loved ones, had a fantastic time out on the town for lunch today! We loaded up the community bus and headed over to Kravers Seafood of Mobile for some of the best southern comfort food and fresh catches in town.

Beyond the phenomenal food, the warm hospitality and fast, friendly services made our lunch outing extra special. There is nothing better than good food, great laughs, and wonderful company! A huge thank you to the staff at Kravers Seafood of Mobile for hosting our group and making us feel right at home.
