What a fun event! Turlock Aquatics Department .ca hosted their Water Safety Day event yesterday! 🏊‍♀️ Water safety education, free lifejackets donated by , and CPR training from ! Great job Safe Kids Stanislaus Coalition water safety team! 😁 REMEMBER: 🌊 Watch kids when they are in or around water, without being distracted. Young children can drown in as little as one inch of water, so it’s important to keep them within an arm’s reach of an adult.
🛁 Empty tubs, buckets, containers and kids’ pools immediately after use. Store them upside down and out of children’s reach.
🚽 Close lids and doors. Keep toilet lids and doors to bathrooms and laundry rooms closed when not in use.
🏊‍♀️ Install fences around home pools. A pool fence should surround all sides of the pool would be at least 4 feet tall with self closing self latching gates. ❤️Learn in CPR and the basics of water rescue skills. It is important to know how to respond in an emergency without putting yourself at risk.

This past Saturday’s car seat event at the Department was a success! 43 children were made safer in their vehicles 👶🏾👧🏼, 33 caregivers were educated, 97% misuse rate was corrected and 27 car seats were distributed to families in need. provided families with free safety checks on their vehicles and courtesy window rock chip repairs. Next first come first served 🚗 car seat event is on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 1 PM to 3:30 PM at the Dryden Creek Golf Course parking lot located at 920 Sunset Ave. Modesto, CA 95351. Please plan on spending 45 minutes per car seat ⏰ , bring the children who rides in the seat 👶🏾👧🏼, we have donated car seat for those who qualify and 🤰 expectant mothers are welcome! Questions?
