⚠️ Power Outage? Keep Your Family Safe by Protecting Your Food. ⚠️

When the power goes out, it's not always easy to know what food is still safe to eat. Following a few simple food safety tips can help prevent foodborne illness.

🥶 Remember:
✅ Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible.
✅ A refrigerator keeps food safe for about 4 hours if unopened.
✅ A full freezer keeps food frozen for about 48 hours (24 hours if half full).
✅ Never taste food to determine if it's safe.
✅ When in doubt, throw it out!

Perishable foods like meat, dairy, eggs and leftovers should be discarded if they've been above 40°F for more than 4 hours.

Stay safe, and help protect your family by following these food safety guidelines after a power outage.
