🎂 Celebrating 60 years of community, connection, and memories!

We had the pleasure of helping Dundee Senior Center celebrate their 60th Anniversary! 💙🎉

For six decades, the Dundee Senior Center has been a place for friendship, laughter, and bringing people together. We are so grateful to be a small part of such a special milestone!

Some moments remind us just how special our community truly is❤️🇺🇸

When we first started planning our Adult Prom, our hope was simple: bring people together for a night of fun, laughter, and memories, all while giving back to those who have given so much for us.

What happened was so much bigger than just one evening.

Local businesses stepped up, community members showed up, and so many generous hearts came together to help turn an idea into something truly meaningful.

We recently had the honor of presenting the funds raised from our Adult Prom to VFW Post & Auxiliary #1138 Monroe, Michigan, and it’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are.

Our veterans have sacrificed so much for our country, and being able to support an organization that continues to serve them right here in our community is something we are incredibly proud of.

A little fall fun at Kackleberry Farms and a little introduction! 🍂🎃

Since we’ve had some new faces join our page, I figured it was time to introduce the face behind Cornerstone Caregiving here in Monroe!

Hi everyone! 👋🏽 I’m Alexis Moore, I have the privilege of serving as the Director of Operations for our Monroe office.

First and foremost, I’m a mama to two sweet, wild, and adventurous little boys, Karcen and Kaiden! 💙 If I’m not working, you can usually find us outside, finding something fun to get into, or making memories together. These pictures are from a little fall fun at our local Kackleberry Farm! 🎃

A little more about me! I started my healthcare journey at just 18 years old as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I earned my Masters of Science from Purdue University. Over the years, I’ve worked in hospitals, emergency departments, long-term care, home care, and several other healthcare settings. I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand just how much compassionate care can impact not only an individual, but their entire family.

And that mission has become personal for me, too. I’ve experienced what it’s like to have loved ones who need additional support and how important it is to know they’re in good hands.

Outside of being a mom and working in healthcare, I have a huge heart for community involvement. I love supporting local businesses, volunteering, meeting new people, and finding ways to give back. You will probably catch me at a community event, somewhere outdoors, or striking up a conversation with someone I’ve never met

One thing I hope everyone knows about me is that I genuinely love what I do. I don’t want Cornerstone to just be another home care company in Monroe. I want us to be a familiar face, a trusted resource, and a team that families feel comfortable turning to, even if it’s just to ask a question.

Because at the end of the day, I’m a daughter, a mom, a friend, and someone who understands that when we’re talking about caring for a loved one, we’re talking about someone’s whole world.

So, if you ever see me out and about, please come say hi! I’d love to meet you!

Who says you can’t serve your community in an evening gown? ✨🏈

Last night we went from celebrating Monroe County Business Alliance at the Gala to making it just in time for our Thursday night pizza delivery to Warrior Elite!

Every Thursday, Cornerstone Caregiving brings pizza to the football players, cheerleaders, and coaching staff after their final practice before game day! It’s a small tradition, but one we’ve grown to look forward to every week❤️🍕

And last night? Well, we might have been a little overdressed for football practice, but we weren’t about to miss it! 😂

Because showing up for our community doesn’t always look the same. Sometimes it’s an evening at a gala surrounded by business leaders, and sometimes it’s handing out pizza to a group of young athletes who are working hard and chasing their dreams.

Both matter. Both are worth showing up for. 💙🌱

What a wonderful evening celebrating the businesses, leaders, and community partners who continue to make Monroe County such a special place to live, work, and serve.

At Cornerstone, we believe that caring for our community goes far beyond the walls of our clients’ homes. It’s about building relationships, supporting one another, and being part of something bigger💙

Next up was Solomon’s Grounds in Temperance, and we had such a great experience. We tried their Almond Croissant iced latte and a Guava Lychee Breeze, and both were SO good 👏🏽

Even better than the drinks, Alexis our Operations Director had the chance to meet Solomon himself. “He introduced himself, chatted with me for a bit, and was genuinely one of the sweetest, most welcoming people.

The whole place has such a great vibe, and you can tell there’s a lot of heart behind it. It’s the kind of local spot where you can grab your coffee, slow down for a minute, and actually enjoy being there.”

If you’re around Temperance, definitely add Solomon’s Grounds to your list 🤎

One of our favorite parts of what we do at Cornerstone is getting out into the communities we serve and meeting the people who make them feel like home.
