Just a little Friday humor! Seriously, most kids love to come to Dr. Jen‘s office. We play games we have toys and other kids to play with. Sometimes I have multiple kids in the gym having a great time. It’s a great exposure to kids who are fearful of going to a doctor’s office. I’m the doctor who plays games, gives hugs and makes them feel connected to their body without any needles.

Most people think low back and pelvic pain when it comes to pregnancy but rib pain can be just as bad! As the belly gets bigger and all of our organs move north, the ribs have to move out of the way. A tight diaphragm, muscle spasms even pelvic misalignment can contribute to pregnancy related rib pain.

Try these helpful stretches that help reconnect your pelvic floor to your diaphragm as well as stretch the surrounding muscular chair that supports the ribs to the pelvis. A great combination would be getting adjusted by a Webster certified Chiropractor, who can connect the nervous system and pelvic alignment as well as provide some rehab to help improve mobility and strength. This will help prepare you for labor delivery and motherhood. ❤️

Honestly, my biggest advice to new time parents is trust your gut! If you feel like something’s wrong, ask a professional. If you feel like you’re not getting the right answers, do some research and ask questions.

Knowledge is power! Sometimes some professionals have outdated information. You will know this as you all questions and do your homework. Talk with your friends with kids, develop YOUR community. ❤️🫶

LOVE a success story! But it always comes with everyone working on our patient’s goals! 💪❤️

When moms come into my office worried because they’ve been just told that their baby is in a presentation, we review symptoms that indicate their pelvis has been imbalanced. These clues hone into ways that we could help improve the opening of the pelvic inlet, therefore allowing their baby to move head down naturally. With Webster technique and rehab, we were able to improve mobility balance, neural connection and strength. This improves labor delivery and postnatal recovery. Essentially, we’re working on to make sure you’re your best self for your new baby!

Have any questions about the Webster technique, post below.

Most babies with a suspected tongue tie are in need for bodywork and chiropractic care. Most kids chiropractors are also trained in cranial work. This is CRITICAL for a baby with suspected tongue tie. There’s a lot of tension throughout the body neck, head and cranial bones interfering with the ability to suck and swallow.

Once this work has been performed & there’s a need for a release, the baby will recover with a lot more ease. Some babies will need care before, and after to improve function of the mouth and neck.

Tag friend who may be questioning if their child has a tongue tie & doesn’t know their first steps of seeking out care to get their baby feeding and swallowing with more ease.

My office staff gets this question with new patients that are interested in “flipping their baby”. They’ve heard that can help bring a baby to vertex down, and they are desperate and having a vaginal birth. This technique works on muscle ligament and joint to balance the pelvis and improve the opening of the pelvic inlet. This improves the passage for the passenger, your baby as well as improves and connect your nervous system with the adjustments determined by the Webster technique analysis.

Best time to come in to make sure that your passage and everything is feeling and ready for labor and delivery would be by 30 weeks. I have a lot of moms that come a lot later and this is not a one time treatment nor is this a one day of homework. If there’s imbalances in your pelvis, they have been there for a very long time with symptoms. You may have had sciatica even before pregnancy or groin pain, p***c pain, or even lightning crotch. These are all indicators of an unbalanced pelvis. THIS IS NOT NORMAL PREGNANCY PAINS!

If you have any questions, post below. Share with a friend who’s interested in a more information from a chiropractor.

Let’s be honest, Mom’s do a whole heck of a lot! Sometimes they just don’t think about their own self-care. Between drop-offs, pick ups and just having to do childcare, most of the time, moms are at in last place.

Here, we care for moms and kids together. You do not need to find childcare to step into our office.

id to the change of your body position and posture, your hip flexor is under a great deal stress when you’re pregnant. It’s fighting the hyperlordosis that happens naturally while you’re pregnant. This stretch will help reduce low back pain as well as pelvic pain, p***c pain, and groin pain.

If you’re pregnant and experiencing any of these aches or pains, bringing this stretch into your daily routine can significantly help. With my patients who experience a lot of groin pain, I may have them do this morning and evening in combination with other exercise routines.
