Our Halloween Social Night, originally scheduled for October 24th, has officially moved to **Friday, October 30th, from 5:00–7:00 PM!**

We're getting ready for a spooktacular evening filled with Halloween fun, laughter, friendship, and plenty of opportunities to practice social skills through play!

At EmpowerEd, our social nights are more than just fun! Our **neurodivergent-friendly, small-group experiences are led by a certified special education teacher** and thoughtfully designed to help children practice communication, teamwork, turn-taking, flexibility, and friendship-building in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Following the event, every family will receive a detailed **EmpowerEd Engagement Report** highlighting their child's participation, social interactions, strengths, and opportunities for continued growth. These reports can also be shared with teachers, Child Study Teams (CST), therapists, and other providers to support collaboration across settings!

A little peek at tonight’s Monster Mash Teen Night! From mummy wrapping to Oreo balancing and mystery cauldron guesses, there was no shortage of laughter. We loved watching our teens team up, try new things, and enjoy being themselves with friends. These are the moments that make Teen Night so much fun!

Our Monster Mash Teen Night brought plenty of laughs, creative costumes, and time to connect with friends!

Our costume lineup included a bird from Rio, a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball player, and Ponyboy from The Outsiders. It was so much fun seeing everyone bring their interests and personalities into the evening!

We kicked things off with our Roll If You Dare candy icebreaker, sharing about ourselves and getting to know one another. Then came teamwork and plenty of laughter during Mummy Wrap, complete with some unexpected mummy accessories!

The Cookie Face Challenge gave us two successful cookie catchers and a whole lot of Oreo crumbs in our eyebrows. After dinner featuring mummy dogs and fries, we wrapped up with our Mystery Cauldron, guessing hidden ingredients and trying something new at our own pace.

Throughout the fun, our teens practiced sharing, listening, working together, and encouraging one another. Those little moments of connection are what make these nights so special.

Thank you to our families for being part of our EmpowerEd community! We’re already looking forward to more fun and friendship at our November Teen Night. Stay tuned for dates!

We have something exciting to share with our EmpowerEd families and community!

We’re thrilled to introduce EmpowerEd Academy, a new small-group morning learning program anticipated to begin in December 2026! 🎉

At EmpowerEd, we’ve always believed that learning should be individualized, meaningful, and centered around each child’s unique strengths and needs. Now, we’re taking that philosophy one step further by creating a warm, supportive learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

🌈 What Can Families Expect?

📚 Individualized, multisensory reading and writing instruction rooted in the Science of Reading

🔢 Hands-on, evidence-informed mathematics instruction tailored to each learner

💕 Zones of Regulation lessons and social-emotional learning opportunities

🎨 Weekly themed activities incorporating science, social studies, art, STEM, and exploration

🤝 Opportunities to build friendships, communication skills, and independence through cooperative activities and our shared lunch and socialization period

🌱 Sensory-friendly learning with flexible pacing, movement breaks, and individualized support

Our Academy will be led by a certified special education teacher, with a maximum of just four students per morning!

Designed for children on the autism spectrum, learners with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences, our program will focus on helping every child feel successful, connected, and confident.

🕘 Monday–Friday | 9 AM–12 PM

We know that flexibility matters to families! That’s why we’ll offer attendance options ranging from 1–5 mornings per week, along with flexible weekly payments and a 5% discount for monthly tuition payments.

🗣️ Speech-language therapy is also available separately through our team of licensed, certified speech-language pathologists, with private-pay options and superbills available for families exploring out-of-network benefits.

We provide individualized, evidence-based reading intervention designed around each learner’s specific strengths and needs. A formal dyslexia diagnosis is not required to get started.

Our goal is bigger than getting through a reading assignment. We want to help children build the foundational skills, confidence, and tools they need to become stronger readers.

What a fun night at EmpowerEd! 🎯

Our latest EmpowerEd Evening: Game Night was full of laughs, teamwork, new challenges, and plenty of opportunities to practice important social skills through play.

The group enjoyed free play, turn-taking, learning new games, team challenges, and carnival-style activities like ring toss, target games, and ball-in-the-cup challenges. We also welcomed some new aquatic friends to EmpowerEd and had a very lively brainstorming session to help name our new frog. The name suggestions were definitely creative!

Throughout the evening, kiddos practiced following directions, working together, showing perseverance, asking for help, using calm bodies during group time, and supporting one another during games. These are the kinds of skills that can carry over into the classroom, home, and community.

Of course, Game Night would not be complete without hot dogs, snacks, laughs, and Prize Box rewards. Every kiddo had chances to win, celebrate success, and enjoy the evening with friends.

We loved seeing the connections, confidence, and teamwork happening throughout the night. That is what EmpowerEd social groups are all about!!!

🎯 Game Night is coming to EmpowerEd!

On Saturday, September 12 from 5:00–7:00 PM, kiddos ages 4–11 are invited to join us for an evening of fast-paced, Minute-to-Win-It style games, social connection, snacks, and plenty of fun.

Throughout the evening, kiddos will have opportunities to practice important skills like turn-taking, flexible thinking, sportsmanship, communication, and handling both winning and losing, all within a supportive, neurodivergent-friendly small-group environment led by a certified special education teacher.

We’ll also have hot dogs, popcorn, snacks, and Prize Box opportunities tied to the games throughout the night.

Following the event, families will receive a detailed session report that may be shared with CST members, teachers, therapists, and other providers.
