Rowan County Overdose Awareness Group, LLC It is our mission is to bring down overdose rates in Rowan and surrounding counties/areas.

🚨Rowan county overdose awareness formed officially in 2020🚨

Please take the time to read & share. We are running on empty and we need our community’s support!!

It’s been 6 years 🤍

We have strived every year since then to bring harm reduction to Rowan County as well as breaking the stigma tied to addiction.

Did you know?
Drug addiction is a chronic disease characterized by drug seeking and use that is compulsive, or difficult to control, despite harmful consequences. Brain changes that occur over time with drug use challenge an addicted person's self-control and interfere with their ability to resist intense urges to take drugs.

In the past 6 years we have helped multiple families and individuals build back up from scratch after losing everything to addiction.

We have assisted people in paying bills.

We have fed the hungry. Housed the homeless.

We have given out multiple boxes of Narcan, & other harm reduction supplies.

We have attended multiple classes to better our education on Casey law, & certify in various areas of harm reduction such as cpr Narcan & first aid.

We host annual events for Black Balloon Day & Overdose Awareness day that are FREE to the community. We also do one fun event, typically a recovery rally or a prom/dance of some sort.

We are a non profit group that runs solely on donations and YOUR DONATIONS MATTER!!

All donations are used for..

-Making “Better Baggies” which are for the houseless neighbors. These include shelf life snacks, water, Towel & washcloth, body wash and shampoo, pad & tampon, lotion, tooth brush & toothpaste, & a slip with our info so they can contact for clothing.

-To purchase clothing for our free drives

-To purchase household supplies for our free drives

-To host free community events that always include fun for the kids & free food for the community!!

You can donate gentley used or new clothing, shoes, backpacks/purse bags, household supplies, Shelf stable foods to 230 Lyons Ave Morehead KY.

- A grocery order or snacks & food dropped off

We ALSO have a single father needing $60 on his water bill today to avoid disconnect.

We have supplied beds for all three children in need!
We have supplied TONS of toys!

We are still needing some clothes.

3/4t girl size 7 shoes

5/6 girls clothes 10 shoes

7/8 boys clothes 12 shoes

Also food/snack items

Hey y’all!! We have had someone reach out in urgent need! We have a grandparent who late in the night got emergency custody of three grand babies! This is due to active addiction in the parents unfortunately. They are in need of clothing boy 7/8 girls 5/6 and 3/4t and everything literally child related!

The family has received beds for the children and toys!!

Still needing clothing and shoes! Also food!

With donations just delivered today we were able to help 7 different families obtains some things they needed!

Thank you to everyone who donated left over yard sale goodies!!!

We have more people to help and we are always accepting donations!!
