Today is Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day.💕

For women facing breast cancer or mastectomy, reconstruction is one part of a much bigger journey and every woman deserves to understand her options.

Breast reconstruction can be performed at the time of mastectomy or at a later date, and may involve implants, a patient’s own tissue, or a combination of techniques. There is no single “right” choice. Reconstruction is personal, and the decision should always be based on what feels right for each individual patient.

At McClellan Plastic Surgery, we are honored to care for women throughout this process answering questions, discussing options, and helping each patient make an informed decision about her body and her future.

Today, our team wears pink in support of the women currently navigating breast cancer, the survivors, and every patient who has trusted us to be part of her reconstruction journey.
