Babies were never designed to be perfectly still.
Inside the womb, your baby was constantly moving.
Exploring their environment through movement every single day.
This movement isn't random… It's helping to build their nervous system. 🧠
One of the most important reflexes babies are born with is the Moro Reflex, often called the “startle reflex.” While many parents are taught to stop or suppress it immediately with constant swaddling, this reflex actually serves an important neurological purpose in early development.
The startle reflex helps babies:
💪 Develop body awareness
🧠 Stimulate the brain and sensory system
⚖️ Activate balance and vestibular pathways
😌 Learn self-regulation and calming
🪢 Integrate all systems appropriately
Movement is one of the primary ways a baby’s nervous system wires, organizes, and matures after birth.
