Our Memory Care residents took a trip through Virginia history, and a few memories of their own came along too!

During their visit to the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, residents spent time reading the facts behind the pieces on display and taking a closer look at items that caught their attention. Some exhibits sparked conversation, while others brought back personal memories and stories to share.

It was an especially meaningful outing because the museum gave them familiar pieces of the past to connect with in the moment, and we're so grateful for that. 💙

We couldn't let a little rain steal the show! Our team filled the community with game stations, raffle baskets, and two hours of music from Kevin Dixon. Cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, and corn dogs kept everyone fueled for the day.

Join us in celebrating Cristy Duarte Ocampo, our April Servant Leader of the Month at Watercrest Richmond! 🌟

“God gives me mercy in my life and reminds me that it is necessary and important to provide it to others. That’s why I try to offer it to everyone I can,” Cristy shared.

As her director says, “Cristy goes above and beyond in her role. She loves her residents and keeps them engaged. She helps create the monthly calendar and is always willing to assist whenever she is needed, no matter the job or department!”

Our Mother’s Day Brunch was a small way to honor the women who have given so much of themselves over the years. 💐💗

No brunch could ever fully measure up to all the love, care, sacrifice, and strength that mothers have poured into the lives around them, but it was our joy to celebrate them with a beautiful meal, time together, and live harp music from Kristen Eye. We were grateful for the chance to make the day feel as special as they are!
