Eileen Ambrozaitis of Lecanto, FL, formerly of Medford, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026 at the Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit in Lecanto. She was 86.

Born in Mount Holly, Eileen was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mable Wells. She worked as a payroll secretary in the Business Department at Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly soon after her graduation. She and her husband Tom, retired to Florida. They were devoted to each other.

Eileen is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Tom; and a brother Charles (Eliza Jane) Wells; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richie and Edward.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 19th at 11:00am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Marne Highway, Hainesport. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Elsa Jean Bradford, (nee Vernachio), of Marlton, formerly of Mount Holly, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026 at Brightview in Marlton. She was 97.

The wife of the late James, Elsa was born in Philadelphia and was a graduate of Cheltenham High School. She and James met at a church they were attending in Philadelphia and were married for over 63 years. Soon after getting married, they moved to Mount Holly where they lived for 62 years. Together, they were longtime active members at First Presbyterian Church in Mount Holly. Elsa enjoyed art and singing. She loved interior decorating, cooking, and entertaining. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and she loved having the family over for Sunday dinners.

Elsa is survived by her 2 children, son and daughter-in-law: David and Kathy Bradford; and daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Gil Rivera; 4 grandchildren: Shannon Bradford Brown, Ashley Bradford Marbach, Brian Rivera, and Beth Rivera; 5 great-grandchildren: Emily and Alex Brown, Ava, Amelia, and Matthias Marbach. She is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30am at the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Holly, 125 Garden St., Mt. Holly, NJ 08060. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family from 9:30am – 10:30am on Tuesday at the Church. Burial in BGWCD Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery will be private.

Judith E. Taylor of Lumberton, passed away on October 8, 2026 at Virtua Memorial in Mount Holly. She was 71 years old.

Daughter of the late Thomas and Lorraine Johnson, Judy was born February 25, 1955 in Point Pleasant, NJ and was raised in Cream Ridge, NJ. She attended and graduated from Allentown High School, class of 1973. After high school, Judy spent most of her adult life raising her two children Ken and Jen in New Egypt before moving her family to Mount Holly, NJ in 1987. Judy held various job titles over her working career before retiring from the Medford Shop Rite Deli department. She enjoyed going fishing and crabbing. Her favorite hobby was coin collecting the state quarters, having multiple storage containers for each state coin. Judy had an extremely warm and open personality. She wanted to know everyone, even in the hospital she made it point to get to know all her of nurses. She truly touched the hearts of everyone she met. Judy will be deeply missed.

She is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Lorraine Johnson, and her brother Larry Johnson.
Judy is survived by her beloved children Ken (Edith) Taylor and Jen Smith, her grandchildren Anthony, Kenny, Jason, and Jeremy, her sister Rosemary, her niece and nephew Nikki and Chris, as well as numerous other extended family members.

Harold E. Garrison, Jr. of Mt. Holly, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 80. Born in Salem, NJ; the son of the late Harold E. Sr. and Victoria (Baker) Garrison.

Harold served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a corrections officer for the Burlington County Prisons.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Doris in 2021 and his son, Jason David Garrison.

He is survived by his children; Heather Michelle Garrison, Barry Stokes, and Brent Stokes; grandchildren: Rose Stokes (Matthew Rumph), Gage, Jason, Tyler, Zoey, Justin, Shay, Shelby, and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Christian, Jaylee, Patricia, Matthew Jr., Jace, Serenity, Kayshon, Dakota, Wesley, Heather, Lincoln, Nova, Cayson, Ivan, Jacob, and Landon; sisters, Victoria and Susan Garrison; brothers, Edward and Bobbi Garrison; numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, October 12th from 12-1 PM at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM at the funeral home. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hainesport.

Merri (Mainor) Downs, Pemberton, passed away on October 3, 2026, from complications of a stroke. She was 63. She is now reunited with the love of her life, her husband, Robert.

Merri loved her husband, Bob, deeply. Theirs was the kind of love that built a family and held it together, and it brings her family comfort to know the two of them are side by side again.

To her daughters, Bobbie and Bailey, she was more than a mom. She was their best friend. To her grandchildren, Cameron, Chase, Kobe, and Kassidy, she was Mammy, and there was no one better. She was at every soccer game, every basketball game, every school event, and anywhere else they needed her. If someone she loved was there, so was Merri.

Family meant everything to her. Some of her happiest times were spent in Florida visiting her parents, trips she always looked forward to and treasured.

Her love reached well beyond her own home. Merri was a longtime aide at Howard L. Emmons Elementary School, where her colleagues and students became a second family. She gave years to the children of her community as coach of the Pemberton Posse and president of the Pemberton Soccer Club, and she never really hung up her whistle, going on to coach her own grandchildren.

Merri never met an animal she didn't love, from the horses she adored to the dogs who were always by her side. Her beloved Baloo was on her mind until her very last breath.

Kenneth (Sparky) E. Fritter, of Mount Holly, passed away on October 1, 2026 at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Camden. He was 82 years old.

A life long Mount Holly resident, Ken was born January 24, 1944. He attended Rancocas Valley Regional High School, graduating class of 1963. After high school, Ken served in the US Navy and was stationed in Norfolk, VA, and aboard various warships during his enlisted time. Once discharged from the Navy, Ken started his career working various warehouse jobs until his eventual retirement as Warehouse Supervisor with Harbor Tech. Ken enjoyed trips to the casino and loved taking family trips to Disney. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan primarily the Phillies and the Eagles. Above all else, Ken loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ken had built massive doll houses for his granddaughters, often time spending months finishing them. He will be deeply missed.

Ken is predeceased by his mother Delphine Fritter and his uncle Elwood Fritter.

He is survived by his beloved spouse of 58 years Carol Ann Fritter, his daughter Kelly (Bill) Campanara, his son Kenny (Trina) Fritter, his grandchildren Lauren, Alisa, and Emily, as well as various other relatives who called Ken grandpa.

Gloria Jenkins was born on November 5, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was the second oldest of six siblings. The Lord called her home on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the age of 88, surrounded by friends and family. Gloria was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Lt. Col. (Retired) Samuel B. Jenkins Jr.

Gloria earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from West Virginia University and her Master’s Degree in Education from Temple University. She worked as an Early Education and Special Education teacher. After 38 years of dedicated service in the Pemberton and Moorestown School Districts, she retired as a beloved and well-respected educator. To this day, countless students share memories of the loving experiences she created for each of them. Her focus of making children’s well-being and education central to her and everyone’s lives has lasting effects. While in her care, she was their “Mom” away from home.

Gloria had not only a love for education but also an abundant love for life. Whatever she set her mind to, she pursued at the highest level. She took up running at the age of 43 and, true to form, completed over 11 marathons. Runner’s Magazine ranked her No. 12 in the world for her age group. She was also an accomplished author who completed several children’s books. Mary C. Sconza, of Columbus, passed away peacefully surrounded by her three nieces on September 28, 2026. She was 89 years old.

Daughter of the late Nicholas and Lucy Sconza, Mary was born on November 14, 1936 in Trenton, NJ where she was also raised. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School and continued her education in nursing school. Mary worked as a registered nurse for over 50 years. She worked at various hospitals and nursing facilities over her long career, including the Walson Army Hospital that was formerly located on Fort Dix, before retiring as a nurse at the Masonic Home in Burlington. Mary loved to travel and took almost annual trips to Hawaii. She was an avid reader, reading all types of literature, but had a love of medical texts. Mary was very devout in her Catholic faith and made sure all the children in her family went through receiving their sacraments.

Mary is predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Lucy Sconza, her brothers Anthony and Joseph Sconza, and her sister Frances McRoberts.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Shirley Sconza, her nieces Betty McRoberts, Debra Cordero (Juan), Barbara Albertson (William), Susan Sconza, and Joanne Lac, her nephew Allan Sconza and Donna Marie Ferri. She has numerous great nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews.

Ronald N. Shemelia, age 79, of Southampton, N.J. son of the late Barkley and
Evelyn Shemelia passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026 at the Samaritan
Hospice Center in Voorhees, N.J.

Born in Mount Holly, he graduated from Rancocas Valley High School, Class of
1965. Ron was drafted and spent 16 weeks in boot camp at Fort Dix. From April
1966 until February 1968 he was stationed with the United States Army in Berlin,
Germany and served his time at Checkpoint Charlie where at times he would pull
guard duty at Spandau Prison where Rudolf Hess was incarcerated.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing softball and street hockey and was an avid
bowler playing in leagues for about 30 years. He also enjoyed spending time with
his family and friends.

Ron had an extensive working career starting at Northampton Textile from 1968
until 1980, continuing on with Paralog Plastic & Sheet Metal from 1980 until 1995
and finally at Monarch Plastic & Sheet Metal from 1995 until 2008. He retired in
August 2008 after many years of employment.

He is survived by his wife Susan (Wells) Shemelia, a son and his wife, Ronnie and
Kathy Shemelia, a daughter and her husband, Melanie and Christian Dantz, three
grand-daughters, Kylie Kenny, Keira Kenny, and Everleigh Dantz, a sister, Susan
Thoms and many nieces and nephews.
