A mother arrived with her two children seeking urgent care for one of them. In the rush of the emergency, she didn't have time to get the children dressed. Seeing the family's need, Mike Goodman went above and beyond to make sure both children were fully clothed. His thoughtful act of kindness provided support during a difficult moment and made a meaningful difference for a family in need.

Mike quietly provides service to all around him, keeping our staff and patients safe and filling needs throughout the day.

As a Community Relationships Manager at Intermountain Health and a cancer survivor, Laura Klarman shares her deeply personal journey—from the shock of her diagnosis to the lessons she learned along the way.

Laura reflects on how knowing the resources available to her as an Intermountain caregiver helped her navigate an uncertain time and why advocating for herself played a critical role in catching her cancer early.

While her treatment journey did not include chemotherapy, it was still filled with fear, challenges,
and life-changing moments.

Today, Laura is sharing her story to remind others to listen to their bodies, ask questions, seek support, and never be afraid to advocate for their health.

Viki is a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatrics at our Mt. Pleasant Clinic, where she is dedicated to helping children and families across central Utah thrive. Her compassionate approach combines education, empathy, and a little laughter to help children feel comfortable and cared for while giving parents confidence and peace of mind.

Viki cares for children of all ages, providing well-child visits, chronic disease management, and sick or urgent care services. She is also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, helping her connect with even more families in our community.

When she's not caring for patients, Viki enjoys hiking, baking, reading classical literature, and volunteering at community events.

During Intermountain’s transition to Epic, Chantel stepped up as a Super User, becoming a trusted resource for nurses and providers alike. Whether in person or after hours, she shared her knowledge generously to help teams navigate change and keep care running smoothly.
