There’s a saying in the autistic community. “If you know one person with autism, you know one person with autism.” This is true, but I also believe you can fall in love with one person who has special needs and it can set your heart on fire for the entire special needs community. Our sweet son, Henry, has multiple diagnosis. We want this world to be a kinder place for him and his community. I decided the best way to soften hearts for our little boy’s community was to share glimpses of his life on our socials.Spreading awareness was a positive first step, but I felt convicted to couple awareness with action. We worked with friends who love Jesus and have experience serving the special needs community to launch a Christian nonprofit called Hearts for Henry. The nonprofit offers opportunities for everyone to become an advocate. Our H4H advocate programs sponsor interactive story times, gift calming kits to special students, and create campaigns for special families. Will you please join us in advocating for Henry by visiting and sharing our site?”

The Discovery Center is looking for volunteers for Camp Wonder, a specialty Campology session designed for high school students with support needs and disabilities.

Volunteers play a key role in creating a fun, engaging, and supportive experience for every camper.

Summer camp launches NEXT WEEK! We have big fun planned every day, with special activities like kinetic sand castles, pirate play, obstacle courses and ice cream sundaes to close out the week! Our small group environment and flexible scheduling makes this the perfect camp for your 3-9 year old who needs to play hard this Summer! Activities are balanced with Open Play in the gym, and routines like welcome circle and group lunchtime help maintain the structure that keeps our kids sane!
