đ¨ PSA, Ladies: đ¨
CrossFit didnât make you p*e.
Running didnât make you p*e.
Having babies didnât make you p*e.
Could those things have contributed? Absolutely.
But they are not the whole story.
Somewhere along the way, women were taught that leaking urine when you laugh, sneeze, jump, lift, or run is simply the price you pay for being active or becoming a mom.
It isnât.
Common does not mean normal.
Your body is trying to tell you something.
Urinary leakage can be influenced by so much more than childbirth or exercise. Your hormones, pelvic floor muscles, connective tissues, core function, nervous system, and even your breathing patterns all work together. When one piece isnât functioning the way it should, your body compensates and leaking can be one of the signs.
Too often we hear:
âWell, I had kids.â
âThatâs just what happens after 40.â
âI guess I shouldnât run anymore.â
No.
You shouldnât have to give up the activities you love because your body isnât getting the support it deserves.
The goal isnât simply to wear a pad or avoid jumping jacks.
The goal is to understand why itâs happening.
Is it weakened muscles?
Is it pelvic floor muscles that are actually too tight?
Is it declining estrogen affecting tissue health?
Is it changes in collagen and connective tissue?
Is it pressure management within your core?
Every woman deserves an evaluation NOT assumptions.
Your symptoms are real.
Your concerns are valid.
And there are treatments that can help.
You donât have to accept leaking as your new normal.
Letâs stop normalizing symptoms.
Letâs stop blaming motherhood.
Letâs stop blaming fitness.
Instead, letâs get curious.
Letâs find the root cause.
Letâs get you back to living, lifting, laughing, running, and sneezing with confidence.
Because your body deserves answers NOT excuses.
