Better Together, Friends from the Past and Present ๐พ๐
Physical therapy is always beneficial, but thereโs something extra special about having a therapy buddy by your side!
When our patients participate in PT sessions together, they often help motivate and encourage one another. Seeing a fellow canine friend confidently tackle an exercise, walk on the underwater treadmill, or work through a recovery session can boost confidence and make therapy feel less intimidating.
Many dogs also become more relaxed when they have a familiar friend nearby. The calming presence of another patient can help reduce anxiety, create a positive environment, and make each session more enjoyable. Plus, a little friendly companionship can go a long way in keeping patients engaged and excited about their rehabilitation journey.
Whether they're recovering from surgery, managing arthritis, building strength, or maintaining mobility, our patients remind us that healing doesn't have to happen alone. Sometimes the best motivation comes from a wagging tail right beside you. ๐๐โจ
